@madichelp0 valkyrie, it's an anti air unit. It's a terran unit. You have to make starport with add on and armory to make her. exclusively attacks air units with rockets, and can't attack ground.

OMFG!!! This is so awesome!!! This kind of thing will be hard to pull off in SC2 (unless you hotkey) because its hard to select a particular spellcaster because its so crowded in battles. Also, Blizzard's patches takes away neat things like the ones in this vid.

Starcraft was great because every unit had its use, and the factions were very well-balanced. This video is proof of that. Blizzard is just a great gaming corporation. I hope Starcraft II will be equally cool.

look at boxer, he is too old for starcraft and is still ranked in kespa and he is way better than all foreigeners! If he would be 18 JD would not be best player arround!

There's also the concept that Boxer didn't seem to adapt properly to the macro based gaming, seeing how micro based his play was back then. After ruling the world with micro gaming, it's hard to change one's style completely like that.

Furthermore, Boxer isn't way better than all foreigners at all. He might be a bit better but it wouldn't surprise me if, for instance, IdrA is better than him now.

Maybe u are right that was his problem back in the past aswell. But i stay at the point, he would be in the #1 kespa when he would be 18. He would adopt that macro lastic game. How old is he know? 30 and still kespa? All other people are 16-21 in top 100 so he is still in good shape ;) Idra is not even in it.

If he was 18, he might not be that great since then it's not given that he'd be able to invent and pull off the things he did. For all we know, he as a person would never have reached the top if he was 18 now. We could have all the "what ifs" in the world, but it's not given they'd come true.

He's not nothing at all, he's dominating the foreign scene and it wouldn't surprise me if he's better than the present day BoxeR. I doubt any of us here really knows, though, guess time will just have to tell.

And I can't say he's really that hyped, except from in the American community. He is, without a doubt, the best foreigner - just look at all his accomplishments the last year.

And no one really expects him to go win the OSL/MSL anytime soon.

JD and Flash has been changing in who wins, since the loser of previous match usually has something to prove and practice harder. JD didn't get lucky, he won playing on very disadvantageous maps for Zerg against Terran - that's some real skills there.

Trust me, I am attacking JD's skill as I believe he is the bestt Zerg in the world atm. All I am saying is that he is #2 ranked according to most standings. (not all, most) I do feel that Flash could beat JD on any map you put before them.

JD is not weak, Flash is just soooooo strong vs Zerg.

I hope to see these two in more games against one another so it can be settled once and for all who is currently the best starcraft player on the planet

In my opinion, the winner will depend on who'se got the most busy schedual and who lost previous face-off, since that one normally practice extra hard for the next game of rivalry.

Then again, I do gree that Flash seems to be overall better =)

For the record, I don't believe it'll ever be settled until they're both finished and the all-time records between the two has been completed.

People like Flash, Bisu or Jeadong brought this game to a completely different level. What? The skill level isn't remotely close to the same. The level of play to day is insane compared to back then. Why do you think people like Garimto (who was claimed genius) didn't have a chance at making a comeback?

If you watch the replays from back then, you'll see that speed wasn't all that normal as it is today. Not to mention the perfected timings and optimized build orders which weren't at nearly as high level then.

The scene today is something completely different.

It works wonders on any levels that have ramps. What you pretty much do is you cut off the top of the ramp so they can't go up it as they can't see whats at the top. It's how the game was developed to let the person with the higher ground get the most advantage. There's a really easy map called Baby Steps that uses this idea. I sent an SCV to the enemy's base and closed off his ramp so he couldn't go up his ramp and get out of his base. Then i preceded to siege his base until he had nothing left

It was pulled of under the right circumstances. Any protoss with the slightest skill should be able to defend against that strat unless they're proxy gating like it was done in this movie.

To tell the truth i pulled this trick 4 times and 2 times were on friends of mine who both have a rank of C. The other two times were against random people one who had a rank of C- and the other a surprising B. The person with rank B countered pretty well but he lost all of his buildings but his nexus+all units but a zealot and a worker. The C- person was a Zerg and my friends were Zergs :P.

I know where your getting at on how this can get pulled of these days but it'll work some times.

only tip i can give u over a reply is u should continuously make workers (probe/drone/SCV) until u r confident that ur money supply will always remain sufficient (meaning money should always reach 4 digits FAST) even when u r mass building

this is a difficult suggestion b/c there are a number of factors derived from your play that controls when you build workers as well as the circumstances in the game. on a basic level, yes, keep building workers and men non-stop until you max. worker count avg should be at least 35 on mins.

anyway, if you say "until ur confident", 99% of players are lower tier b/c they have poor timing sense. only practice and experience will teach you when to build workers and when to expand
