People please appreciate the sacfrice General Vang Pao, your brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, parents and grandparents made during the war. If they had chosen to remain neutral or side with the communist, we wouldn't be in America. We would still be in Laos farming. Someone has to sacrifice in order for some to have an opportunity.

One thing I see from this photo documentary is that there is an aweful lot of people in uniform. It is understandable that GVP is known more for his military leadership, therefore the honor would suggest dressing up in uniform. But, are Hmong in general infatuated with militarism and somehow equates that with "leadership"? Don't we live in relative peace in the greatest country on earth? What's with the value we place in uniforms, including state troopers, police, etc? Or just GVP loyalists?

He's a busy man him self and he can only do so much, but far from what I know I've seen him many times at parties, conferences, and New Year ceremonies. He is a man who is true to his words, he's done more than enough for his Hmong people. He has all of my respect and his death was a big tragic to the Hmong community. We will never be the same again but we will grow to love each other more.

I felt so extremely bad that I wasn't able to go and pay my last respect to our father of the Hmong people. But watching these slideshows of his funeral, it is very touching and sad.
