  • It's real,

  • The bang was an arc from phase to phase when the flames filled the gap in between two conductors. Flames are great conductors

  • Any idea what caused the fault that caused all this?

  • @Natesmodelrailroad I read somewhere else that a power factor correction capacitor on the output shorted and the fuse to the control/alarm system was blown. Catastrophic short with no warning to operators and no means for substation to shut itself down.

  • @smellycatpoop

    troll!

  • I thought optimus prime was there :D

  • THis is a dangerous area to be in, anybody who goes near it will get a fatal electric shock and be burnt to toast silly beggars.

  • @rojblake82

Not likely since the current gets shorted out quite fast.. making the fuses at the feeder blow up.

  • nice easter fire

  • Fake!

  • @smellycatpoop Yeah its fake....and how is this fake?? please tell! Im so wanting to know from your own words before ppl like me call you an epic fail Idiot.

  • @LordZacknafien That's fake!

Search Youtube for the After-Effects tutorial.

  • In the words of Bill Cosby, "ZIP ZAP BLAMITY BOOM!"

  • Chuck Norris got a job working for power company

  • The contrast of the peaceful green sward in front of the inferno is quite an image.

  • that's how i weld in my company!

  • Good vid

  • OOO SNAPP!!!!!!!!!!!!! GET ME MY ENTIRE TANKER RUNSHEET!

  • Good Day,

    Owch!

That transformer was likely cooled by "Chlorinol" oil......

if it was an older model.

  • with this be considered a BLEVE?

  • awesome power.

  • Thats all because the gas and electric guys in florida can't keep their shit under control, what a waist of a Substation.

  • wow, the gate to another dimension

  • I think it was the Flux Capacitor...

  • what a stupid place to put oil!

    Honestly!

  • Short educational lesson... transformer coils are made with minerals oils and pastes used as an insulator and cooling agent.

Honestly LORD... geez, get with the program!

What a stupid place to think there is NOT oil.

  • stations have pressure vents... this released, not knowing there is a fire, the vents DO not open if there is fire, but must have malfunctioned

  • im guessing thats the type of oil insulator that sprays out which ignites through fire. very dangerous.

  • that reminds me of the knob creek machine gun shoot in kentucky

  • Um, why wasn't the transformer powered down when it developed a fault?

  • at 0:17 u can here a girl screeming

  • You like that a little too much... You scare me.

  • at 0:19 u can here a girl screeming

  • Must have been the insulating liquid in a transformer. Usually mineral oil, which can help ignite air and also makes a ton of smoke, but sometimes sometimes other fluids.

  • Yes, that was pretty much my opinion as well. Mineral oil venting from an over pressurized transformer housing.

  • yep definately right.

  • @hzmtinstructor That's just what it was. :)

  • That was awesome!
