  • I know this guy's son. lol

  • What is this from? Is there any more to it??

  • @florgamary It's from the "Baseball Like It Outta Be" VHS from the '96 season. It does a recap of the entire season. Pretty awesome video for sure.

  • @florgamary you can buy the VHS from Amazon. It's called "Baseball Like it Oughta Be - The Story of the 1996 St. Louis Cardinals"

  • @chadnikk422 Thanks!

  • Thanks for posting, but are there other videos for this series?

  • In spite of how it ended, I consider 1996 to be one of the best seasons in Braves history.

  • @PeoplesWar ... true.

  • Man that was a great series , we were down 3 games to 1 and came back to win it in 7 games 5 and 7 were blowouts it looked like a football score, albeit a low scoring football game, it was just to bad we couldn't repeat that year i really thought we would especially after those first 2 games in ny oh well great season good way to close out Fulton County Stadium which is where the love for my braves all began.

  • how did the Cards blow that series...

  • @zjg5001 They blew that series because they stopped hitting against Smoltz, Maddux and Glavine. 2 of those wins were blow outs/shutouts

  • @zjg5001 I was disappointed that the Cardinals blew this series after being up 3 games to 1, would've loved to see a Cardinals-Yankees Series that year...

  • @ckendall67 exactly..plus not to mention it would have been a nice way for ozzie to go out with a world series appearance.

  • @zjg5001 They didn't blow it. When you lose the final three games by a combined margin of 32-1, it means that the better team found its stride and crushed you. From Atlanta's perspective, St. Louis should have never gone up three games to one because the Braves were winning Game Four 3-0 heading into the seventh.

  • @joekiddlouischama Thanks for correcting me. I'm still upset over the Oilers blowing their lead to the Bills in the '93 playoffs, the Yankees blowing a 3-0 lead to the Red Sox in the 2004 ALCS, and your mom blowing me but biting at the same time.

  • @zjg5001 LMFAO!!!!!! BEST COMMENT EVER.

  • @zjg5001 Idiots like you ought to commit suicide. Go stick a loaded .44 Magnum up your rear end and pull the trigger, punk.

  • game 5: braves 14 cards 0

    game 7: braves 15 cards 0

  • 1996, not 1995. Gant played for the Reds in 1995.

  • @kbh19814 You're right..Gant lost the NLCS 2 years in row..Braves swept the Reds in '95 and came back from a 3-1 deficit to defeat the Cards in '96...

  • @norr4636 ... three postseasons in a row when you count 1993 (although the Braves lost to Philadelphia because the Phillies constituted the NL's first "steroids team" with a juiced Lenny Dykstra, Darren Daulton, and Dave Hollins).

  • @joekiddlouischama Yeah, but he was a Brave..but you're right

  • Congrats Gant. But Braves won the next 3 games 2 of them easy.

  • @outgoing37 The Braves actually lost the next game, Game Four (despite leading 3-0 entering the seventh), but then won the final three contests by a combined margin of 32-1.
