I love Marvel Comics, but I also love DC Comics and it annoys me to see DC getting dumped on so much and made to look like they were really unimportant in moving comics forward.
I think this movie gives WAY too much credit to Marvel and Stan Lee. I mean, sure Marvel was revolutionary in comics, but I feel like this movie os saying that before Marvel came along there was no foundation of character development to build on. Come on, the Fantastic Four was really just Stan Lee's response to DC's Justice League. And that whole point that there had been no superpowerful villains on par with the hero before Marvel, um...I'm pretty sure DC had plenty of those already.
That is very true. Thing is Steve Ditko does not allow his face or image to be seen. He is also notoriously reclusive and does not do interviews.
Robbing a bank in brpad daylight is easier than getting an interview with Ditko. Not that I've tried either, but his lack of interviews speaks for itself. I believe there is only one brief interview involving Ditko on the web.
I agree, but it was also his fault for not taking a stand and publicly state that he was the co-creator of spider man. If you did something, show that you exist and that it was done by you. And Steve was great but he is non-existent, and that is quite his biggest mistake.
@almanacofsleep That's terrible especially since Steve Ditko's art is some of my all time favorites of Spider-man. He is a total recluse though. That's one of the things that I find very interesting about him, nobody really knows the man behind the art.
im liking the interview for Stan Lee.Spidey's giving the devil horns \m/
villians are interesting if not more than heroes.some of them have had hard childhood or grownup lives too and just have cooler voices and costumes etc.
Glad you were able to get this back up. I was enjoying the show and then suddenly in the middle it went dead quiet. Glad to see it got back up. YouTube really is getting to the point of absurd with these claims.
Here is the message from youtube if you're interested.

A copyright owner has claimed it owns some or all of the audio content in your video Once Upon A Time The Super Heroes (6 of 10). The audio content identified in your video is Spiderman by Toon Tunes. We regret to inform you that your video has been blocked from playback, due to a music rights issue.
I had to upload this video again because of youtube's automatic video removal system, just because of the Spider-Man 1967 toon opening. grrrrr. I wonder if people who uploaded just that theme was given the same treatment, maybe not.

John Romita drew the most amazingly beautiful covers of all time. NOBODY could draw a cover like Romita.
Best Spidey artist ever.

I'm sure you can call Superboy the first teen superhero because his stories were first put into print in the 1940's.

Man...in the Spider-Man cartoon they made Daredevil sound less like a gritty noir character of the Miller era and more like Shakespearean actor. :/

@harveydents I'll have to disagree with you there.
It is obvious that Quesada has offered many pros to Marvel.
