  • Cool Patterdale real gladiator.

  • The dogs get it done but are too small. Why take the chance on a big boar smashing them? It cost alot of money to work and train and go hog huntin. Looks like they make great :Bay" dogs...

  • that patterdale is bad!!! too small my ass!

  • They're too small. Get a Catahoula for hog hunting!

  • where and how much u got that vest for

  • My jagdterrier is a straight CD. Where did you get this jagd from? Jagds dont usally bay.

  • god bless patterdales no fear wish there was hogs in ireland

  • Good looking dogs.

  • yeah i think the top side is off of masons whodat who is a double bred schaeffers john steed dog brother sister mating bottom is booth stock

  • Patterdale terriers are a definitely harder than jagdterriers in general. With a lot of the game jagdterriers are used on (bear, cougar, large boar etc) this level of hardness could get them killed. Patterdales need this hardness for their usual quarry. Many jagdterrier owners train their dogs to bay and not catch so they don't get killed. I love pats and jagds. I have both. I think they both did a great job on this hog! I am surprised the Jagd did not jump right in and catch once the patt

  • @usmcoak I think thats a pretty bold statment and an untrue one at that. While a patterdale is 110% drive, Jagds out perform these dogs by a long shot. I like patts but comparing one to a true working jagd from Good serbian lines is not even a comparison. Ask the guy that posted the video about the difference in the junk from the states and the stuff from serbia, he'll let you know. For the record, I am very much a fan of patterdales too.

  • @masonryinsa

Your statement is real bold.....I guess in my experience, it all depends on what you are hunting, area, and style. Each dog has its place and I have hunted with both, I own patterdales for a reason. Jagds dont suite me, nor how I hunt, or the game I get. To each their own, but in my opinion the patterdale out preforms the jagd. A 35 lb dog that bays as a boar or a 15 lbs patt that does what it should be doin.

  • haha catches just like my 12 pound patterdale. mines a hole dog i just take her hog huntin with my cur dogs every once in awhile

  • Actually the black dog that is baying the hog is a jadgterrier. The second dog in the video with the kavlar vest is a patterdale terrier. The patterdale is a booth line bred dog. He comes from california catchers kennel (californiacatchers . com ) who is producing a great line of hard-core hunting dogs.

  • The patterdale as you can see is the born leader in this kind of scenerio... he was completely in control of that boar marking out it's path and getting it into a bit of a dizz until the other dog could step in and help take it down. Even then the patterdale was reserved, mindful of the bores actions and chiming in when required. Patterdales are amazing, I have bred them (pure) for over 10 years and produced prize-winners and pure hunters. They still to this day amaze me! So clever!
