it cost 700 bucks most likely because of the diagnosis involved with finding the electrical problem. Because the tech who worked on it only put electrical tape around the wire, it exposed th repaired section of the wire to water because of the tape not sealing properly and caused the wire to corrode, he should of used heat shrink tubing to repair it, they should have gave it back to the tech to fix it again, you should have kept your cool also.
If you really did pay 700 for them to put electrical tape on it then you are in the right. If the wire was severed it should've been run again. So if your story is true then you definitely should have your car fixed the right way for free.
This is interesting . . .not sure who is right. On one end, yes the customer was being unreasonable, but I still don't know what the dealer charged the customer 700 dollars for in the first place and if it was for a piece of electrical tape then he has a right to be pissed... if they charged 700 dollars to fix an issue, then they should've also fixed a wire for 700 dollars. But as I said, I don't know the whole story. I only give the benefit of doubt to the customer because of shady dealers.
What a cheap prick! Dealer was going to show him his rusted wire he just kept swearing. That's a fucking mooch. I hope ever car you get will rust and you'll have problems. What an idiot for posting this video. PAY YoUR FUCKiNG BiLL MoOOOCH
they may have just spliced a wire but techs are paid by the hour... how long did it take to find that wire?
from what I saw.. the customer is ignorant and thinks that they only charged to splice the wire.. usual charge to track down electrical concerns is 3.0 hrs and may take longer.
im sure the customer was told of the charges or he wouldnt have approved them to start the work..

That was the dumbest video I ever watched. It is impossible to tell who is right and who is wrong. The person who made this video should not make anymore videos. I'm surprised the manager at the dealership kept his cool like that. The guy complaining about his car had no legitimate argument whatsoever, or at least it wasn't present in this worthless video.
the person posting the video is one example of the most dishonest people in the car and car service business, the customers, all they do is rip off mechanics and service departments every day, they lie from the time they get to the service department to the time they come back and knowingly lie to get the money back that they agreed to pay in the first place
@alfonsosb650 so u think u calling other ppl dat u dont even know idiots made u look smart or genius? it just point out dat u work 4 dealership and dat u are very disrespectful to others... Jeez!!!!
@ijp66 No people call the cops cuz its legal to rip off customers and its almost imposible to press charges on big biznesses in court!~use your brains???
@therealjohnnyjohnson Actually if you have proof you can "press charges" but it is obvious in this case the dealership did nothing wrong. Everytime I go to the dealer for service they have to get authorization to do the work.
If this was my business you would have been tossed ASAP. The service manager showed great restraint.
@therealjohnnyjohnson Actually dude you are in the wrong on this one. The dealer did not charge you $700 for electrical tape or to "splice wires" together. They charged you probably $1.00 for the tape, $5.00 for splicing the wires, and $694.00 for the KNOWLEDGE YOU DON'T HAVE to fix it. See, if you don't know how to fix something those who do get to charge you whatever they want man. As for your accusing them of fixing it incorrectly? You sound like a child. Pay the bill and grow up.
@therealjohnnyjohnson why the video tape then i see, a setup you fucking asshole, piece of shit. eat shit and die i deal with your shit kind all the time

customer is a big crying baby cries for nothing i think he,s pakis they want free labor and free stufff all the time i worked for them all the time they just cry cry cry some more
Saw no evidence in this vid that customer was ripped off. Only saw customer saying car wasn't fixed and service rep saying it was. No way to know who was right from this vid. Only thing for sure was customer was being an ass.
Whoever posted this video is a waste of space. Seems like the dealership did what they were supposed to. The customer was being unreasonable. Looks like a setup to me.
Take the dealership to small claims court. It worked for me.

Not it the itemised bill did not reflex the work under taken. Or if the bill for the work undertaken was excessive.
