  • I'm a gymnast to!!So this is the HB routine I want to do in the future!! Yeah!

  • anyone has paul's high bar routine from the event finals?

  • he was on ninja warrior lol

  • Amazing...

  • he sucks now

  • @WOGAGymnastDavid

hes ok. when i was at camp (he was an "olympic athlete visiting"

he was working on stuff on pbars and what not. he still got his stuff kinda

  • that routine was perfect. he deserved that medal.

  • He didn't deserve that medal. He's routine was perfect, but nemov's routine was perfect too and more, way more difficult. This routine compared to nemov's is nothing. I agree he is a little boy near nemov. It was so unfair to alexei, and the public supported him.

  • @anemone450038 But wasn't this routine in the all around anyway? Nemov wasn't in contention in the AA was he? I thought it was in the event final that Nemov lost out on the medal. Granted in the EF Hamm wasn't as good as Nemov (in my opinion) but the in the AA high bar, Hamm was perfect.

  • Omfg that was incredible. Just going to ignore all the controversy crap because no matter what else, that was an amazing routine.

I can remember watching that back in '04 heh and I can hardly remember yesterday. Made a big impression lol. Go Hamm... Fucking amazing.

  • The real men is Russian Nemov. And amerikan sportsmen is child....Belive me....And a force be with you my son......

  • ehh... ive seen better

  • @ripster8675 hope youre kidding

  • he had no dorsals, are they not a requirement at the olympics or something?

  • @deniseherff The one-arm he uses at the beginning of the routine count as his el-grip requirement.

  • I remember watching this live on TV. My heart almost stopped.

  • what do those hand things they wear do? please someone answer i'm not a gymnast

  • @jms8220 gives you a powerful grip that can both slide and is safe

  • @jms8220 Its to protect their hands from ripping, although you can still rip with them on, your less likely. And it hurts less to swing when using them

  • what was his score ?????

  • @SpideRussia u calling him a fat ass? ok lets see you do 2 one handed giants and three release moves over the bar in a row:)

  • Nemov - is REALLY Olimpic Champion!

  • @TheLenok77 um.. NO

  • Looooooove that landing. Fantastic.

  • So did he win or what? He did it very good.

  • @seanapaulafans He came back from basically not medaling at all and ended up winning Gold. There was a lot of controversy around it, though, because it was argued that the starting score for his (or his opponents', I can't remember which) was wrong on one of his other routines and therefore he shouldn't have TECHNICALLY been able to win Gold. But he did anyway.

  • Nemov is better. even hamm is good

  • FAT ASS. Alexy Nemov is real chempion.

  • still gives me goose bumps

  • this was the best sports moment in my lifetime. He absolutely deserved to win. That landing was so perfect it almost looked unreal. The Korean guy deserved the position he ended up in. When you compete you compete until the last second which Paul did.

  • that was some serious shit

  • he is a good gymnast/ but on olympics you cant win if you spoil any element/ how can a man become a gold medalist after falling in the 1 round and staying on 12 position??? thats not right/ korean guy was better in general/

  • @muratmurat9906 Actually when they went back and looked at the competition as a whole, they found that Yang's p-bar routine included 4 'hangs' instead of the 3 allowed on the p-bars, an error that, if caught, would have resulted in a penalty of .2 points, removing Yang from medal contention. Young is lucky he even won a medal And going from 12 to 1 just shows how much of champion he is. It's retarded to say you can't win because you fall down on a landing. It's never over till it's over.

  • @bubbablakey1 i am not going to argue with you comrade. this is your opinion!!!! and that was mine!!! anyway - he got his medal - and only he or smb else - behind him knows whether he deserved it or not))) will see what happens in world championship etc.

  • One of the best gymnasts ever in the all around, if not the best - hands down. He really does make everything look so easy and clean. This comeback is pure inspiration. I'd love to see him compete again.

  • amazing comeback

  • Defently no Justicy,Alexey Nemov should have taken those olympics , But the americans had more money,so they just bought the Gold medal...Like always money wins

  • @huntersshh other countries always like to say american buys medals. but the usa is the ONLY country who doesnt fund its athletes with government money. most countries have sports ministers and fund athletes who go to the olympics AND fund olympics they host. USA sports operate solely from private donations and public support.

  • One of the worst judging displays ever. He was practically given his gold medal as a gift. For what? Still trying to figure that one out.

  • @zabag LOL still trying to figure what out? Paul Hamm is the best gymast ever. No one ever made it look so good or so easy. He deserved that all around. but I'm sure on some level you know that - you just don't WANT to know it. Furthermore the Russians have been given the advantage in so many olympics. Like for a russian or chinese athlete it matters more whether they win so let them take 1st place. Sentimental crap. So glad Paul is making a comeback. He's gonna kick butt as always!

  • His olympic games were so amazing to come back and win all around that will never be forgotten.

  • high bar improves shoulder.chest and tricep not bicep

  • Should thank the judges for his medal. Fixed.

  • i was in level 6 when i was 7.

  • Alexi Nemov was better

  • paul hamm is definitely one of the best there ever was. he could have challenged yang wei for the title in 08, he won every meet he competed with 94s for his aa scores. Simply put- incredible. His training and effort into every turn he ever took must have been remarkable. to be the best like how he was, you get there with hard work and determination

  • @Codizzle6832 Just heard he might be making another comeback. Too bad Yang Wei has retired bc that would have been a great show down but I wish Paul the best of luck. He still looks great.

  • nice!!!!!!

  • That's the best landing I've ever seen from the high bar

  • i thought that too... till i saw. Kohei uchimura Landing .. wacht it and tell me, cuz i don't know to diffirence between them ))))) "Kohei Uchimura 09 N杯 HB "

  • It's so sad that for a judge error Hamm was given the gold, gymnastics is a hard sport and no matter what, that gold medal was for Yang tae-young... the new score system will fix all those mistakes.

  • @morenodelaorilla how sad is it that almost 6 years later you're still commenting about this.

  • It's in the memory of gymnastics fans, it's like a bood, it's there all the time, how can one person forget it.

  • @morenodelaorilla than why is it that they only remember this, but not the deduction that Young failed to recieve for having to many of the same holds in his routine? If he had been penalized like he was supposed to, he wouldn't have even been on the podium.

  • Because even if they gave Yang Tae Young the 10 SV on parallel bars, which they failed to do and was the difference in winning gold, they also failed to deduct for his repetition errors for doing the same holds. Bottom line: Even if he got a 10 SV, he still shouldn't have been in gold medal position if those certain judges actually did their job right and deducted for the holds.

  • @morenodelaorilla I'm right there with you. I'll never forget that night or that routine. It was like he was outside himself. Absolute perfection. I will never forget it. I can only hope he does well in 2012. I'm sure he will!

  • Gracias a Dios existe un nuevo sistema de puntaje que es más justo con los gimnastas.

  • this is nothing with Nemov's show.

  • have there been more difficult high bar performances than this? of course. but the execution here is flawless. it's better to be excellent at something good, than half-assed at something excellent. he is truly brilliant and so well-trained. not to mention his spirit and great attitude...it makes this an inspiring video.

  • yah like ignor cassina does some crazy shit but it all looks like shit

  • He is inspiration.

  • ush q gonorrea

  • woooooooooooooooooow
