  • who did u play when u worked this show? lucky! luv this show so much!

  • at 50 seconds, it sounds like the beginning of that michael jackson song, will you be there

  • omg ur right, i love that song

  • OMG! This brings back such wonderful memories! I was in this parade as part of opening crew. And everything about it was amazing: the job, the music, the looks on the crowd's faces and the people in the parade. Some of the best ppl I've ever met. I miss it so much!

  • I totally remember this back when I went in 2000. I was only 11. This was really amazing. I wish they still performed this!

  • Oh those masks you mean... never heard of any accidents there. Usually World Showcase is a little bit boring for the kids, so they can make those masks at the different pavilions...

  • This is bringing back memories, always liked to do crowd control during the parade :D

  • Oh, hey, and thanks for helping make the magic!! - this is a good opportunity to ask a very old question my sister and I wondered about! We had questioned the wisdom of handing out long sticks to children in a crowd, then turning off the lights. Seemed like somebody was gonna have a poke-yer-eye-out mishap! Do you recall any trouble with those dowels?

  • Not quite sure what you mean, might be my lack of English. But if you mean the puppets greeting the kids, this only happened during the "freestyle" segments, not the choreographed ones. The phase where the lights went of was one of the choreographed dances without guest interaction.

Far more likely were mishaps when parents made their kids run to the dancers for taking pictures...

  • No, I swear, they did, while I was there, hand out little masks on sticks that kids were running around with - and my sister lives there, said it had been the case for some while.. oh well.. I can't prove it! ;-)

  • @torgotom I was there for the celebration and, to this day, part of what makes the world showcase fun for the kids is that they can go to designated areas in each "country" and make a paperboard mask. yes, these masks are on wooden dowels but no, the disney corporation was not handing out plain old wooden dowels and turning off the lights. I guess disney expected parents to be mindful of their own children.

  • @fckyesitsbrittany Of course, some parents arent capable of keeping their children from ripping apart a toy and using it as a weapon. hope that helped :)

  • To torgotom:

Yes I miss it a lot... It is very hard to find a job so rewarding. I was happy to perform rain or shine, hot or cold, windy or not. The pay didn't matter nor the pain in our back.

By the way... If I remember right, the closse up was after a tap in your back with my "Disc Man" : )

    Damm I miss It...

  • Thank You for this video. It brings very, very good memories.

I am the one on minute 4:12, can you belive it?

    Small World...

    Peace

  • How wonderful to hear from a performer who brought so much joy to my vacation!! WOW! Thanks! You know, this may make up for my unintentionally insulting a WDW puppeteer from the Lion King show with a harsh review. rest assured I will never forget your show!!

Wondrous memories to be sure! Best wishes!

  • ...after all..... haha (sry i had too)

  • do you miss it?

  • Does anyone know the name of the songs that make up this parade? This video doesn't do justice to this parade. It was amazing to see. I only wish they were still running it.

  • the song it call simply "The Tapestry of Dreams Suite" u can buy the cd of it in disney... i did! i put it on my ipod and its like 4th on my 25 most played hahaha

  • also on my ipod

  • This is the parade that made me want to be a Disney performer. :]

  • and are you going to? Seriously? I have dream of moving to Florida at retirement and working in the haunted mansion..

  • yes I have music from the fountain & World Showcase/Future World, the rides, Illuminations, everything, tu "(you" en espanol)?

  • no but Canada's show, Innoventions, Tapestry of Nations & Dreams/IllumiNations,

  • luv this parade, I miss it but glad to have the music on my iPod that a friend burned for me from the actual cd Tapestry of Nations.

  • I still listen to that CD!! What music! Hope you also have music from the fountains and world pavillion shows!
