  • I know this is an ancient battle but I know Zygma and he is way better and more honorable while battling so I'd appreciate a halt to all insults.

  • 2 minutes between turns... He was probably looking up your weaknesses on Bulbapedia. xD

  • My feels exactly. Some people really need to ask for help on how to be better at something if they know their not good at it.

  • Well, its not really that i'm bad, i've got the pokes, and experience battling on Ruby/Sapphire but y'know i just wanna get feel for how my game measures up in the new generation and i'd rather do that against an opponent who i know is a top notch battler with a generally laid back attitude.

  • Well most I can say is if your hunting for great players to test yourself against I know plenty of them. Challenging players better then yourself is one of the ways I know on how to improve your play IF you know the basics.

  • Sagitar, its not that good battlers are hard to find. The fact is that "great players" such as Xerxes, ZMT, TSP and so on are very difficult to get a hold of. The fact that someone would have to SCHEDULE a time to battle someone in a game most would only pick up and play for a quick burst is counter-intuitive. Its unfortunate, but its the way it goes. Thats why i go on serebii chat alot. Not because you find great battlers, but because you find a battle almost instantly.

  • IDK, it seems counter productive to me to know full well your getting ready to challenge a player who is insanely out of your league. It takes the fun out of it for someone like me. IMO theres good and great players, then theres the insanely great players. Ill be the first to admit Im not in their leagues but hey who knows.

Lol, maybe you and I should play sometime BBird to measure each other against one another. Who know, could be interesting for both of us.

  • Haha, that sounds good man. We should definitely do that! If you have msn, add me, and if we run into each other we'll battle. =)

And also, don't think that those guys are out of your/our league. They're really not =P i don't know about now, but back in the day, i used to battle with them alot. It was great fun and all, but i didn't have the time to go on a site, and sit around waiting for someone to post/reply etc.

but yeah, we should battle soon =) sounds fun!

  • Unfortunately I dont have MSN. I have YIM and AIM but no MSN. SO how about we send emails and we can set something up?

  • While it may sound harsh to the casual observer, i have to say its totally agreeable, and i'm sure i've said very similar things about people on Diablo 2 or the like, oh and now that i've got the money to get Diamond its more than likely that i may be coming onto Wifi within the next month, and y'know if you'd feel up to it i'd love to have a battle or two against you just to get an indication of my team and of course my skill. Anywhoo, great going in the battle buddy, love that Gengar!

  • Heya dawolfman! thanks for the kind words! Its great to hear you're gonna get in on the fun with us. =) there's a huge and welcoming (for the most part) community around who can help you on your way. My advice would be to play through the main story first. If its your first pokemon outing, it should be very enjoyable, and will teach you the basics. Once you've done that, hit up some forums for advice, or even contact me directly, id be happy to teach you anything you need/want to know =)

  • hahaha. i take a long time to think like that too. although i dont really care whether i win or lose cause really i know im gonna lose anyway! :D

  • Haha, i don't have a problem with people thinking about their moves. I have a problem with people who play that slowly, who don't have any intention in seeing the match through if they start losing. By all means, think about your next move! haha!

Its also a good attitude to take to play to have fun. Winning really isn't everything in this game. Its desirable, but losing will always lead to winning if you learn from it.

    Confucius say whaa? =P
