I chose 4 arcs in equally ascending increments -- a 3.5", 5.5", 7.5" and 9.5". By using the 1/4 circle lines as the guide the stitch lines will be equally spaced because each arc graduates two inches in size. This eliminates the need to measure or pre-mark the quilt.

How does she know how far to travel between arcs? It doesn't look like she is measuring anything.
