  • Thank you for posting this. I have been very interested in learning more about Battersea and her beauty. From what I see, she has a lot of great history and is going to be recommissioned soon? If so, that's so great.:) I'd love to visit..

  • @bionitroop - recommissioned soon?

dont get me wrong, i love this place too ( abit too much ) but that is wishful thinking my friend, sorry to burst your bubble.

  • @ismaelkhan No worries. I had just heard of plans. No actions though.

    That is too bad.

Hopefully it does not fall away.

  • I drift through there in a subaru

  • I like to drift my Evo X there! :P

  • it is freely enterable?

  • WHERE'S MY FLYING PIG! GOD DAMMIT!!

  • chelsea f.c may be building there new stadium inside wow

  • What a disgrace that this beautiful building has been left in ruins. Was lucky enough to be part of a guided tour back in 83 or 84 when it was no longer in use but still in one piece.

  • the Battersea Power Station With the Pig is on the headquarter on the movie "The Children Of The Men"

  • Since Roger Waters wrote the lyrics Of Animals :)

  • Shame shame shame! Sell it to Pink Floyd!

  • Mighty fine video... damn shame what has happened to it :( :(

  • Thumbs up if Pink Floyd brought you here !!

  • Actually I think Pink Floyd used this Power Station for the cover to show, that the Pigs build these for they're own good, to show off their power and make money, not caring about our planet or the 'Sheeps'.. I think this Power Station represents the Power of the Pigs, so it's a Negative Symbol. :)

But it still looks pretty awesome XD

  • @matemagyar that's such a load of crap.....since when were Pink Floyd so disinterested in money ,and so concerned for this planet ?

  • Reminds me of HL2

  • It's so cool and also a bit frightening ! I wish I could go there :) thats also the power station of which pink floyd was taking picture for the "animals" album :)) cool, good job putting this video !

  • DIRT!!!!

  • Beautifully done video. I especially enjoyed the music. Can you please tell me who is the artist and what CD it is from? It's driving me crazy trying to find out whose music this is.

  • 1 person has never been to london :)

  • Its Disgusting. that the government didn't step in before the millennium and use prob HALF of the 750 million they wasted on a damn DOME! they could have restored this and turned it into a concert hall. education centre.shopping area all of those things. but no as always the government chucks OUR money at other things yet u have a beautiful art deco style building begging for restoration.and saving.

  • Thanks to DiRT3 this place will have more visitors :)

  • i HATE polution fuck u power stations find over ways off getting energy NOT PULUTING THISD FUCKING PLANET THIS IS OUR ONLY HOME AND IFF IT GETS POLUTED WE WILL ALL DIE SO THINK ABOUT TREES U SELFISH SHIT FACE PEOPLE OUT THERE WHO LITTER FROW UR RUBBISH IN THE FUCKIN BIN ITS NOT HARD EVEN I CAN DO IT.

  • @ChaoGarden5 ...YOU are polluting this planet..REMOVE YOURSELF !!

  • good music for excellent video

  • Ken Block is a legend and so is this place, thats probably why he trains there XD

  • By the way, can anyone tell me what the name of the track in this video is?

Shazam says it is Matthew Boone & Tokee - "solo in carbonite".

I've found the track but it doesn't sound anywhere near what is to be heard in the video. Any suggestions anyone?

  • This is truely a remarkable place. I wish i could go in there to see what it actually looks like from the inside, especially the control room should be amazingly beautiful.

  • It's sad that such a historical landmark is left to such neglect and apathy. If some action is not taken soon there will be nothing left to save and the only recourse will be the wrecking ball. That would be tragic to lose such a wonderful old building.

  • 4:05 Makes me think of Hawkwind's 1976 LP cover for "Quark,Strangeness & Charm".

O.k..the building has something, but also something ominous and disturbing, same like those Third Reich buildings in pre war Germany. That's probably the reason they let it deteriorate.

  • Very nice video. My Father-in-Law worked at Battersea Power Station for many years, it it a truely wonderfull building and I very much hope it is kept intact fro future generations to marvel at.

  • Such a beautiful building. London is one of the best cities in England for buildings.

  • just got back. Scary as hell.

  • Scary to think this lovely place has been abandoned :(

  • A picture of Battersea with only three stacks, wow rare as Hens Teeth. Took the guided tour in the 80's when the A control room was still complete, and the B station was complete and untouched. The place could and should have become an annexe of the science museum, but now, and I hate to say this she should be demolished. Such a shame when you think her half sister Kingston power station is no more.

  • everytime i think of london this is what i think of !

  • My thanks to Roger Waters of Pink Floyd for the knowledge of the coolest building ever. My thanks to my ex. who took pictures of it for me during her visit in 2001.

"If you didn`t care, what happened to me. And I didn`t care for you, we would zig zag our way thought the boredom and pain, occasionally glancing up through the rain. Wondering which of the buggers to blame,, and watching,,, for pigs on the wing...."

  • Good job! I admire the effort you put into this video. But I did find it a bit annoying the way the image jumps around.

  • they're turning it into a dragon zoo

  • where country is this, so great biulding.

  • @fehrarce London, England

  • That's a beautiful place. Thanks to Pink Floyd, I know about it.

  • @soldierknowhow yeah..same here if not for Pink Floyd -Battersea Power Station- probably would not be familiar to me..cool place..hope to visit it one day..

  • great job on the vid! this is where our heritage is going down the pan nothing left traditional anymore and what is left is left to rot. It will get to the stage when it will be knocked down to pave the way for more homes for immigration reasons

  • The Eighth Wonder of the World...

  • @gurpst i was head of security there in the 90s..get real everybody..its going to be all pulled down once it has been declared unsafe with the elements getting inside too it.shame on you park view international..

  • @markvernon881 fuck off - wanker
