That's right volvot5se.The glory days before environment, political correctness, health and safety and human rights were invented and foisted upon us by the Marxists.Great memories of bunking sheds like 1A and 81A.Real Britain. Not the dustbin of the world that we are sadly having to cope with these days.
How this place has changed,I used to spend hours and hours on the old station spotting Duchesess Jubilee's Scott's and the like thundering through plus one of the best shed's in the country also Old Oak Shed down the road. Oh how I miss the smoke and grime did not seem to matter about the enviroment in them days Great times
Willesden Junction is a very interesting place, but without being mean, I can't quite understand the appeal of watching trains. What is it about them that appeals? I'm genuinely intrigued, no disrespect intended.
personaly im mostly interested in railway history & operations, but if i had to say what i like about going to watch them i guess it would be there, big, powerful and its just a lump of technology
Cheers, kurleeone, You've got Freightliner & Maersk,
But What about DRS (Direct Rail Services) -Rinky-Dinky Mile Long Trains: Only One "Loaded" Carriage....
I love observing the innocent passengers as the most deadly loads in history are rolled past in the London evenings.
-Not a Clue....
-All is well in a Democracy....
