@123pegs123 I wonder sometimes if it has to do with the double standard that it is much more difficult for women to become famous if they aren't attractive, and while that's somewhat true for men it's not as strict. A lot of comediennes seem more self-conscious to me, which kind of kills the funny. Whereas funny women like Jennifer Saunders and Lucille Ball don't seem so worried. They'll get up in all kinds of makeup and costumes and situations that are hilarious rather than attractive.

David could say the exact same thing and it'd be hilarious, and in fact he & Lee were being just as bad, but no one cared because they're both men and therefore they're not serious. Women also aren't as funny bc somehow they're not allowed to take the piss out of men without being seen as bitchy. It's weird.

@Pullapitkomies isnt that a way of saying sexuality's a spectrum? in any case, i think the significance of labels like straight, gay, bi, etc. is for self-identification. i feel like being like "you're bi and you don't know it" even in a general sense is kind of like walking up to someone who identifies as bi and being like "actually you're straight and you just don't know it." it's a bit presumptuous. yes, the spectrum model's accepted, but choosing labels or not is up to each individual.

Exactly, the terms/labels are for self-identification mainly. Using specific terms is more suitable to human culture(s). This is why I stated that most people indentify themselves as heterosexual, although biologically they may not be straight. I'm just being pedantic. I do realize it's easier to just categorize when it comes to defining identity (and usually we ignore the very little things that have no effect to us in general, i.e., it's easy to toss ourselves to a specific category).
