  • Teresa what kind of wool is used for this video. can it be used to crochet anything

  • I use 4-ply yarn. I am not going to say there is a best because there are so many different types of yarn to choose from. This pattern is easily adaptable to the yarn.

  • Ms.Teresa your so smart nice technique, bullion stitch made easy, now I will do it more often. THANKS YOUR AWESOME KUDOS. ;)

  • Thank you. :)

  • This looks so simple. Question though, I do not have those kind of things, the rubber thing you have on the hook or the tapestry needle. Is there another way of doing this pattern with out using the rubber and tapestry needle?

  • The traditional way is to wrap it around the crochet hook and pull it through. It is a lot harder this way.

  • Do you have this video for left-handers??? Thank you so very much for all your videos :)

  • I do not believe that I have it for lefty but I can look at the video and see if it will convert. If it does, I will post it.

  • Thanks!!! I appreciate it!!!!

  • This is a beautiful flower, but you go so fast that I can't keep up.

  • It is not necessary to keep up with the video. I would like to suggest the pause and rewind feature. I also have written and symbol instructions posted on my crochet blog. The instructions are posted under my channel banner to the right/lower right of the video under "more info".

  • Lol Thanks for that helpful insight! :) I am familar with that feature, however it is a little difficult to manuveur the mouse and then regain original positioning of the needle. :0)

  • when you start the video leave your curser over the play button then all you have to do is click to pause and click to play.

  • Thank you so much for your videos, amazing... this bullion stitch is a pain in the neck but you're make so easy. Amazing.......

  • I had tried the bullion stitch so many times over the years and it made no sense. I have since learned that the traditional stitch can be done when you push on all of the loops so your hook will pass through. I have a 50/50 success rate with the traditional method so I use my technique now.

  • im sorry one more thing..can you do this even if all you have is the hook with no needle?

  • Yes it can be done but it is really hard.

  • in the beginning, after you ch5 are you ss threw both sc..or just the very center sc? that is the part that confuses me

  • ok i think i under stand..the very first ch5 is ss together to make the loop that all the other loops "grow" from..and when you say ss in the sc..you are ssing in the sc at the base of each indiviual ch5 (and the ch5s then turn into loops)

i hope i did not confuse you..but can you tell me if i am understanding this correctly?

  • did you know that the video cuts and don't show how to connect the colors with the first stitch please help

  • did u ever finish the blanket, any pics?

  • I have a small piece with flowers.

  • Who do you get a good view of yourself crocheting?Does someone go behind you and hold the camera!

    BTW your work is cool!

  • I do everything myself.

  • such a joy to watch! Thanks for this!

  • THANK U V .MUCH Im A FAN OF UR CROCHET IDEAS

  • Thank you. :)

  • WOW! I can't wait to make one like this now to think what color

  • thank you : d

  • I know this will sound stupid ....but were can i find the plastic tube that goes under the gushy grip?

  • That is a very good question. You can find the plastic tubing at your local home improvement store like Home Depot, Lowes or Menards.

  • i m jealous - _ -

    ur too good

  • I don' t know what you are talking about. I do not untwist anything.

  • Are you kidding me do you even know what your talking about her work is AWSOME were lucky she does this free and on her spare time!

  • This is VERY VERY Good!!!

  • Thank you. I have been mixing them in with my cheerful flower blanket.

  • @tjw1963 do you have instructions on how to put the blanket together?

  • Respond to this video... do you have instructions on how to put the blanket together?

  • i wish i saw that flower earlier i would have added it to my scarf its finnished i will sends you pics when i can :D

  • That is a good reason to make another scarf. :)

  • YOUR RIGHT

  • where do you get the cushie grips?

  • Wal-mart.

  • are they the pencil ones?

  • Yes

  • Thank you for all the wonderful instructions;I have been crocheting for almost 45 years. It just goes to show you can always learn something new

  • You are welcome. Thank you very much, I appreciate the comment.

  • this so beautiful

  • ugh, im so mad...i accidentally hit 4 stars instead of 5...once again, Teresa shows us how to make something absolutely fabulous...my mind is already churning w/ projects to use this flower in...

  • i shall try this!

  • I made several flowers with the bullion stitch they really look neat I love your idea on the afghan with the flowers. I always enjoy your video's. I love the way you made it even easier to do. I have to try this.

  • wow, very nice

  • I've seen bullion stitch listed on some of my vintage patterns with really "bad" photos. I've done the stitch for embroidery just never tried it for crochet. Watching this I've got a good idea how to do it single hook for thread. THANKS! :)

I've been following your flower afghan and it's a great idea for scraps. I'm just maniac enough to want to try something like this with threadwork. LOL

    Thanks a million Teresa!

  • You are welcome. I do have a bullion embroidery posted on a crochet project. This flower would be beautiful with thread. Thread is my favorite to work with if you did not already know that. Yarn shows up better on camera but a lot of projects will interchange with thread. Most of the yarn flowers will work well with thread too.

  • Thanks so much for the trick on doing the Bullion stitch!

I have a square I've been trying to make for ages, and have not been able to master the bullion stitch!

    Thank you again! You're awesome!

  • me and my sister was talking about how cool it would be to make a blanket out of flowers lol you beat us to the punch.... it's so pretty though can't wait to see the finished product

  • im impressed, i have never seen this beautiful stitch. thanks soo much for sharing the instructions. I will definetely try it !

  • Thank you so much for renewing my desire to crochet. I love your vids...all very clear and I recommend them to friends. I am working on a shell stitch throw and I would have never even considered doing it without your expert video. Carol
