hi teresa,ur work is soo amazing i cant describe it in words my name is Naureen Khan i live in birmingham uk ,i just wanna ask u that if u could make a poncho for girl age between 8-9 or it could be adjust for any age and size ,so i'll be very greatful there are so many other crochet tutorial but ur work is very clean and easy to see and also include a high neck with the pochi thanx
You make some of the most beautiful flowers. :) I've never seen this stitch before, but it makes a really pretty flower. You're an amazing resource for crocheters. :)
@SweeetCherryPieAyAy This is not a project that is for beginners. I suggest that you learn the basic stitches, which will increase the success rate in accomplishing this tutorial.
next!!!.... lo deverias hacer mas despasio recuerda q la gente q ve tu video quiere aprender y con tu forma de tejer es imposible hacerlo por eso next!!
@tjw1963 ya,, i understand every step you do, and i also copy those designs but i cant explore my imagination as u r doing,, this means i am not learning properly,, i m just copying.. i think i need to learn more about this...
Thank you so much Teresa for all the excellent videos. I love your help. I wanto to ask you something please, could you please make a tutorial of a sweater for a baby??? Thanks. Excuse my english :)
I use 4-ply yarn. I am not going to say there is a best because there are so many different types of yarn to choose from. This pattern is easily adaptable to the yarn.
This looks so simple. Question though, I do not have those kind of things, the rubber thing you have on the hook or the tapestry needle. Is there another way of doing this pattern with out using the rubber and tapestry needle?
It is not necessary to keep up with the video. I would like to suggest the pause and rewind feature. I also have written and symbol instructions posted on my crochet blog. The instructions are posted under my channel banner to the right/lower right of the video under "more info".
Lol Thanks for that helpful insight! :) I am familar with that feature, however it is a little difficult to manuveur the mouse and then regain original positioning of the needle. :0)
I had tried the bullion stitch so many times over the years and it made no sense. I have since learned that the traditional stitch can be done when you push on all of the loops so your hook will pass through. I have a 50/50 success rate with the traditional method so I use my technique now.
ok i think i under stand..the very first ch5 is ss together to make the loop that all the other loops "grow" from..and when you say ss in the sc..you are ssing in the sc at the base of each indiviual ch5 (and the ch5s then turn into loops)
i hope i did not confuse you..but can you tell me if i am understanding this correctly?

I just finally figured out what bothers me about your work in worsted weight yarn. You untwist the yarn as you work. It makes this look uneven.
Do you roll your yarn into balls? All I can think is you are working from the wrong end of the thread. If you worked from the other end, the way you handle the yarn would tighten the twist, and everything would look better.
Even so this is a great pattern, but the finished bullion looks unwound and fuzzy.
ugh, im so mad...i accidentally hit 4 stars instead of 5...once again, Teresa shows us how to make something absolutely fabulous...my mind is already churning w/ projects to use this flower in...
I made several flowers with the bullion stitch they really look neat I love your idea on the afghan with the flowers. I always enjoy your video's. I love the way you made it even easier to do. I have to try this.
I've seen bullion stitch listed on some of my vintage patterns with really "bad" photos. I've done the stitch for embroidery just never tried it for crochet. Watching this I've got a good idea how to do it single hook for thread. THANKS! :)
I've been following your flower afghan and it's a great idea for scraps. I'm just maniac enough to want to try something like this with threadwork. LOL
You are welcome. I do have a bullion embroidery posted on a crochet project. This flower would be beautiful with thread. Thread is my favorite to work with if you did not already know that. Yarn shows up better on camera but a lot of projects will interchange with thread. Most of the yarn flowers will work well with thread too.
me and my sister was talking about how cool it would be to make a blanket out of flowers lol you beat us to the punch.... it's so pretty though can't wait to see the finished product

The traditional way is to wrap it around the crochet hook and pull it through. It is a lot harder this way.
