I believe we should help everyone including animals. That senior who got hit by a car did not deserve to lay there alone with out someone at least calling an ambulance for him. Those dogs also needed the help to get off the highway, otherwise a big car accident would have occurred, and the dog could have been saved.(idk if it died, my speakers aren't working at the moment, I saw this without the volume.)

I guarantee 99/100 times if a person is hit by a car, there will be people helping and stopping traffic and 99/100 times of a dog gets hit and there's another dog around, it won't go help.  We don't have "things" to learn from dogs in that respect.
