  • i love Alan Rickman, probably he's my favourite actor of all, i wanted to watch this film because of him...but now i think i didn't watch it only because of him. such a beautiful movie...couldn't stop my tears.

  • This part was sad

  • The character is stimming. One of the ways to cope with her Autism

  • Probably the most poignant scene in the whole movie.

  • I had to sit through this stinky pile of Bollocks once. If any Fucking retard started dancing at my funeral, my brothers Bushkar and Baklev would break their fucking legs! I gave a lot of thought to this and still think its shite!

  • This movie was filmed in my town!! Small little town called Wawa :) I've also been in this house! lol

  • @mikemike20202020 You obviously haven't payed any attention to the film then. Linda, for one, is autistic and she clearly struggles to understand normal emotions. For example, she has to work out why Alex was crying about being guilty. Also, she says herself that Vivian is gone and people have to get over it. In this scene she is remembering the fun she and her daughter had together, and Vivian wouldn't want her to be sad. Think before you criticize.

  • @AvaDecember : Don't feed the troll.

  • @mikemike20202020

Why would you even bother to make any comment on this when you Clearrrrrly haven't seen the movie. Obviously besides the point of going from your previous youtube comments you talk a load of **** for lols.

    Douche.

  • @mikemike20202020 It shows that everyone deals with emotions differently. The majority of people see this as disrespectful but when you look at the underlying, Sigourney (mom) is mourning in her own way and there is nothing wrong with that.

  • Alan Rickman is gorgeous and Sigourney Weaver is brilliant. One of my all time favorite movies.

  • I keep watching and watching this.. and I cry everytime :')

  • Made me cry ...again ..

  • favorite scene in the movie

  • Makes me cry :(

  • i cry everytime i see this scene, without fail

  • Lovely movie. Great actors.

  • Sigourney Weaver is great

  • Gorgoeus face, dazlious smile, infectious laugh...I'm in love with you Sigourney Weaver!

If you read this: YOU'RE AWESOME! THANK YOU FOR BEING SO!

  • @96Ronni, the music tracks are listed under info, the song is: Notteru Ondo" [Japanese Folk Song] by The Drifters.

  • does anyone know what the spanish songs called?

    LOVE THIS MOVIE SO MOVING

  • Best movie ever. Love the soundtrack!

  • wondefull movie.... kind of makes me sad... but it shouldent.

  • wondefull movie.... kind of makes me sad... but it shouldent!!!!!!!

  • I sooooooooooooooooo get this movie.

    Thank you for making it.

  • It's ironic coz I'm an aspie and the band of this song is 'Broken social scene' who I saw live a few years back and one of the band members done 1st aid on me as I fainted, it was a cool unique experience, and bizzare that they paly a theme to my fave film. But yeah anything that helps others see and raise awareness for how autistic people behave, promotes acceptance and understanding : )

  • It was a great role and performance, and must've been extremly challenging. Yet the deep insights and research of this film goes to show that high functioning autism has many unusual ways of expressing itself, I have aspergers and even though it would seem strange to dance like this at your daughters funerel it also makes sense, as we have ways of being and expressing emotion uniquely and creativly, a childlike way of seeing the world, that can make onlookers run a mile it's simply communicating

  • @nondualaspiegirl I know, like, "Are you sad because someone you didn't know died?"

  • @Augustbeauty69 Sorry, I haven't got a clue what you mean?

  • @nondualaspiegirl It was a quote from the movie Snowcake.

  • This must have been so fun to film. I would have loved it. How can you not? I mean, getting to just dance around!

  • I want the japanese song! But I cant find it anywhere T_T. QUICK! SOMEONE POST A LINK! O.o

  • whats the song when Linda seems to be dancing with Vivienne? I love that song...:)

"Anthems for a Seventeen Year-Old Girl"

    by Broken Social Scene.

  • It's a wonderful film, I was interested to read that Sigourney Weaver spent over a year researching her role and lived with an autistic woman for a while, however Alan Rickman on the other hand, deliberately avoided learning anything about the condition so that his surprise and bewilderment at Linda's 'strange' behaviour would be all the more authentic and realistic.

My respect for Sigourney Weaver as an actor has grown immensely - thanks to this film, she was absolutely incredible.

  • The daughter almost looks like Ally Sheedy. Cool. :)

  • Thanks so much for uploading this scene mate! One of my favourite films and I think one of the best that explores loss and grief and human diversity all together - and how Linda experiences her loss in particular - and the judgement that falls on her for sharing her unique and FUN relationship with her daughter even in her grief . Totally moving and awesome performances all round! Gonna share this now :-)

  • ZOMG LoL This reminds me of a story about me:

My sister said that the first time I danced in front of people, they all burst out laughing because I looked like a spindly, jumping spider LOL (I was really little, like maybe 2 or 3, and she said I broke down crying because I didn't like people laughing at me LoL).

I've improved since then lol ;)

But I imagine it looked something like Sigourney in this scene! ^_^ She's so awesome <3

  • never go full retard

  • @mikemike20202020 but going full retard is the best feeling in the world! ;) I say make some time on the weekends to go full retard LoL

  • everytime i see this i cry its one of the best movie scenes ive ever seen

  • never go full retard

  • I can't get enough of this movie, seriously.

  • i sooo love that scene! It's such a beautiful movie, with gorgeous actors! I'm really hard to get to be touched by something, but this scene made me cry a little - don't know wheter it was because it was a little sad or because it was just so sweet... I'm not sure. It's just DAZLIOUS! =D

  • @retrocrack It also interesting that the main character is non-existent thru the whole movie but still everything begins there and recurring many times. And make this motion-picture stand out from the Crowd.

  • i absolutely adore Sigourney Weaver! #LOL <3

  • Sigourney Weaver is such a wonderful and awesome actress!!!

  • danke, dass du mich auf diesen tollen film aufmerksam gemacht hast sascha...und ich bei dieser szene schon wieder überwältigt bin...der film ist ganz einfach dazlious :)

  • this scene gives me shivers everytime i see it.

  • This scene touches my soul, and I cry every time I view it. It is the love of a mother for her daughter -- missing her in the sweetest of ways.

  • I remember watching this when it was released, I think it might've been the first time i ever heard Broken Social Scene!!

  • I love this movie. it makes me cry everytime i watch it.

  • @ForestAF Agree ! I sob every time. Fab performances though, eh !

  • @ForestAF Pussy!

  • Notteru-Ondo rules!

  • I also liked this movie, and this scene is one of my favourite. You have to watch this movie more than once to pick up on many subtle details. It's also proof that a movie doesn't have to be a high profile blockbuster to be good.

  • me and me roomie watched this and thought this movie was AMAZING ^_^ (though roomie thinks that song by broken social scene is creepy... like "courage the cowardly dog"-creepy. LOL)

  • So moving this film. The snow flake CGI really added to the effect... subtle yet effective. Great acting in this film also. A nice mix of well known actors / actresses and some new unknowns (at least to me).

I always rate actors who can play varied characters... there is no doubt that Sigourney is one of those, i.e. compare this with Alien / Avatar... such varied roles.

  • My favorite scene in the movie! Just cleans up all insincere condolences!

  • Just watched this movie again, for th 4th time. Just love it, still cry every time.

    Alan is so wonderful!!!!

  • i just watched this movie..i loved it so much-this scene is just great-

  • wha't the name of the 2nd music?

    I think very nice .

  • "Anthems for a Seventeen Year-Old Girl"

    by Broken Social Scene.

  • great movie, that's my favourite scene too... just beautiful!

  • Sigourney Weaver is so great in this film, she should have gotten some kind of an award! (did she?) Also, Alan is wonderful of course!

  • I hate it when they all grab there coats and leave just because shes dancing ..urgh

  • @RobzFanpire yeah, that's true. I mean, Linda's not crying over her daughter's death - she's celebrating the time theyy had together. I hope, when I die people won't cry but dance and sing and laugh! =)

  • @RobzFanpire People will always want to get away from things they feel are weird, unusual, or don't understand, forgetting that they have their *own* unusual things or things that may be considered unusual by others. But still, I think that judging will always be around, unfortunately. Be different, whether you can help or not, and be judged.

  • Watched this film last night, absolutely loved it, one of my favourites. In particular, this scene I find beautiful

  • @SpaceSE any other films like that?

  • This movie is...Just amazing! This is definately my favourite scene.

  • Thank you. You're my favorite!

  • LOVE this movie!!

If someone has time, please upload the scene where Alan RIckman and Sigourney Weaver are at Mcdonalds and that woman approaches them thinking he's her caretaker and he says that she's his wife. That would be awessssssome :) Thanks!!

  • It's odd.. I saw that scene in the previews, but not in the movie when I watched it at home..

  • I didn't see that seen either!! :(

  • scene**

  • i love snow cake ^^ it has to be the best film EVER!!!!! hehe, i love the song as well ^^ so random XD

  • I cry everytime I watch this movie and especially with this scene. It's so beautiful and the way Linda stops dancing and looks at Vivienne; to me it felt like it was her own special way of saying goodbye. Very moving!

  • Possibly one of my favorite scenes from the movie.

  • omg hilariouse

  • This was honestly one of the best movies I've seen in awhile. Though it is a little bit slower to get into I think it suits the plot and the actors did good.

  • lol i taped this film and watched about 6 tomez lol

  • i wached this film about 4 days ago my fav scene is the bit where they play that game and she makes up a story where i think it was superman that gets out of the cave and say dazilous love the movie :)

  • Haha yeah. I was on the bus the other day and the sun was so bright, and I just thought to myself 'dazlious'. Brilliant word!

  • I love this wonderful movie!!!

  • This scene is so wonderful! I love the film!

  • Probably one of the best scenes in the film. Lots of questions answered in this symbolic scene.

  • Would love to be able to download a copy of this song, but it's almost or should I say impossible to find.... if anyone knows where we can find a full original version (like in the movie) please post

  • One of my favourite scenes from one of my favourite movies ever! And i just love these two songs!

  • Great Great film! I've just made a video about Snow Cake, if you're interested: check my chanel.

  • "Notteru Ondo"
