well, the orchestra is playing from the notes, written down by someone but for sure Freddie knew about this tonality. In rehearsals Freddie sang as he liked with di-ro-ri-ro and finally, at a concert Freddie do not sang at all, he covered his voice to the recording and the error was in this record. If it were live, Freddie would have changed the tone, it's not a problem...

I think this is hilarious. Freddie was no ballet dancer, but the best part of that is that he knew it and didn't care. Seems there was nothing that Freddie wouldn't try. Roger Taylor has said that he was in the audience laughing hysterically during this performance. He too admired Freddie for his daring and nerve.

The reason why it sounds out of tune and sync in the beginning is because the arranger for the orchestra has written the parts in a different key. (BoRhap is originally in Bb major in this section).

Also, Freddie is miming to his voice recording from the original single. This is why the orchestra is out of time with the singing. Freddie never sang BoRhap that high or exactly like the record live (only very rarely did he reach the high C).

The qualities of freddie voice that the most likes are his power and colour; note the difference for example with the voice of taylor.

The reason is that he was baritone, so his voice was too heavy to sing easely high C like a tenor, but he had other qualities that tenors cannot have, like wrote above.

The recording is actually little snippets from the bohemian rhapsody takes, that are in a different video. Though i don't meant to spoil this for anyone else, this video was brilliantly put together, with the vocal recordings, and orcestra blending nicely. It's nice to see the footage with some relating audio to what's going on in the video :]

He sang it correctly at the end because it was a fucking TAPE! The live vocals were horrible....they sounded off key whether it was intended or not (I think it was a little lower to make it easier to hit the high notes).

I really love Queen, but that wasn't Queen, it was idiotic and unbearable to watch or listen to. I know all the Freddy worshippers will think I'm an asshole, but like I said, I love Queen, well, up to a point ("A Night at the Opera") but I can certainly live w/ out this shit.
