Leave aside the technical issues, Freddie was HUGE, he looked awesome amongst dancers who trained their bodies all their lives. HUGE talent. We miss him, there will be no one like him.
well, the orchestra is playing from the notes, written down by someone but for sure Freddie knew about this tonality. In rehearsals Freddie sang as he liked with di-ro-ri-ro and finally, at a concert Freddie do not sang at all, he covered his voice to the recording and the error was in this record. If it were live, Freddie would have changed the tone, it's not a problem...
@2:30 Freddie and the Orchestra in the same key!! What a relief!! But wow singing in a different key while hearing another one......that's gotta be hard.
I think this is hilarious. Freddie was no ballet dancer, but the best part of that is that he knew it and didn't care. Seems there was nothing that Freddie wouldn't try. Roger Taylor has said that he was in the audience laughing hysterically during this performance. He too admired Freddie for his daring and nerve.
@r6ob7 Yes I am a Christian, but if you want to piss me off I can turn into a deadly devil that you wouldn't like to mess with. so next time you type something make sure you're using a decent language. alright ?
If you don't like the truth about what Freddy was that's not my problem, I'm just trying to open up peoples eyes. You weren't even born when I was listening to Queen.
The reason why it sounds out of tune and sync in the beginning is because the arranger for the orchestra has written the parts in a different key. (BoRhap is originally in Bb major in this section).
Also, Freddie is miming to his voice recording from the original single. This is why the orchestra is out of time with the singing. Freddie never sang BoRhap that high or exactly like the record live (only very rarely did he reach the high C).
"@pianoshizzle wrote (only very rarely did he reach the high C). " and i can explain you the reason.
The qualities of freddie voice that the most likes are his power and colour; note the difference for example with the voice of taylor.
The reason is that he was baritone, so his voice was too heavy to sing easely high C like a tenor, but he had other qualities that tenors cannot have, like wrote above.
If it was any other rock vocalist this presentation, would be ridiculous, but as it was Freddie Mercury, was MAGUINÍFICO! The guy was good d +!
Thank you very very much!
@LOTHRIE06 I think this orchestra track is off of an instrumental queen album. I don't think this is the original audio, someone put this audio together.
The orchestra boobed in a big way in the firstminute or so but Freddie, being the consumate performer, managed to pull it off anyway. Inspiration for "the show must go on" perhaps? You never know ..... ;-) xXx
If i remember correctly, he never sang the song live with the Royal Ballet, but with playback, anyway, what you're hearing is a demo take from Bohemian Rhapsody, can be found on youtube as well.
hi, i from argentina, my english isn`t good, but i wanna say this.. it`s the original voice track, with another song version, in another tune, it´s a really bad mixing
Una performance más interesante, que acertada. Para ser un genio hay que cometer errores. Asumir riesgos lo hizo grande. Larga vida a Freddie. Siempre vivirás en nuestros corazones.
Bohemian Rhapsody, the most debated song of all time, so many questions have been unanswered, the lyrics and the reason why Freddie Mercury never sang the C5 section originally in all of his live performances
i think that this performance explains the song, freddie as the performer explaining to a woman (Mama) that he killed a man... and after the first verse, the purgatory escene and the climb to heaven
Grandioso Freddie! No sólo lo extraño por el gran artista y cantante que fue, sino tambien porque hoy en dia no hay nadie como el!! Freddie I miss you so much! Have fun in Heaven!
The recording is actually little snippets from the bohemian rhapsody takes, that are in a different video.
