  • you should have seat for over 2 weeks more to refin it, but its a very good cover not many people can play the solo

  • What about Joe's awesome live intro to this song....? Can you play that? He plays it as a lead in to the opening of this song. Its so freaking deep and emotional....I'd love the tab for it if you know how to play it. I'll echo others.....I've watched a lot of your other vids and there is no doubt, you really know how to play...but...your bends and vibrato need just a tad of work. I'm in the same boat...my vibrato is atrocious. 8^) Anyway....really enjoy your vids. Keep it up.

  • @cleremond

Is there a video online where he plays that awesome into?

In this video my vibrato is bad indeed. It has improves a lot as you can see in my latest video's.

But it still needs some more work. ;-)

  • this is my favourite joe's song and you play it like him, you are the best, i have subscripted in your chanel and y have watch all your vids, you play the guitar so favulous and you have a magic style, i love this, you have play this with the tabs or by ear? answer me please, see you,

  • 10 Jealous People Mistakenly Clicked on Dislike Button........

Well whatever............ You played Awesome. I liked your Shreding n Playing Style......... I wish i also play like you............. soon.

    Keep it up Bro.

    My Favorite.......... ;~)

  • good stuff... btw, how the hell can you sit like that and play?!?! ;)

  • ANY TIPS ON PLAYING THE SOLO,GREAT COVER, LETHAL SONG

  • well done

  • dude this is fucking bomb!!!!!

  • Fantastic job. How long did it take you to get it down?

  • @bphilipb

I have no idea...It's been a while since I made this video, but most of the time a couple of hours spread over a couple of days.

  • great job!

  • hell sweet , so koo

  • Wtf, awesome playing dude

  • very nice man!!!!!! really!! it is surprising though ythat you have good technique but your vibrato is strong enough

  • I really enjoyed this tune, I came accross you by clicking on the snowman, Nightwish is one of my favourite bands I intend to listen to more of your work

  • really good man, keep up the good work

  • I have a question: do you have trouble with vibrato? It's barely noticeable, but after watching this 5 or 6 times, Ive finally somehow noticed; you don't use too, too much vibrato.

  • Yes, at the time I made this video, my vibrato was my weak point. It still is one of my weak point but it's a lot better then on this video.

Please watch learining to fall and see how my vibrato is there, and tell me what you think, if it improved or not. Thanks

  • @guitarextremist I watched it, and there Has been an improvement, in that you are now remembering to shake the string on a sustained note. Now you have to work on making it flow. (IM NOT TRYING TO BE A DICK!) I'm attempting to state that Vibrato should be something that you're comfortable with, just make it more wild, and it'll finally flow.

  • that was extremely inspirational. im ganna go off and learn that song now :D doubt that I'll play it as good as you though

  • NICE

  • that was great...

  • the best cover, perfect playing, awesome....

  • its nice . its great , your magnificent . keep posting covers coz you rock.

  • all right

  • You are amazing !

What a great vid. Thanks a lot :-)

  • The intro should be played by "Clean + chorus"....Anyway great job bro :)

  • I know ;-) but here Im covering the '98 live version.

  • great solo by great musician

  • how much was that guitar?

  • Ask your local music store for the prices.

  • 1500-1700 US new

  • If anyone knows, it's this guy. Username says it all.

  • very very nice... and i rarely comment...

  • Thanks a lot man!

  • wow man. i was about to post a cover of this, until i saw your fingers move, and i realized that i need to work the crap out of this song. this is just unbeliveable, like all your videos. rock on mate!!! cheers.

  • Thanks a lot man, for your always very kind comments :-D

And good luck on the song!

    Cheers

  • Whats the program you use to make a midi file sound realistic? And awesome cover. Nice work!

  • Im guessing it was Direct MIDI in MP3 Converter.

    And thanks!

  • hey man where can i get the naked track or song for this song? i would really appreciate it if you could tell me

  • Well there are some backing tracks on the internet, but for this song I made one my own with guitar pro 5.2 and another program to make a midi file sound realistic like a mp3.

  • hey great cover man!! can i give u some advice!?? try to clean up de tone a little bit satch distortion aint that bright:) if u do this u will sound perfect :) not trying to say bad things about u just trying to make u improve ur sound ;)

  • Thanks man!

And how should I clean up the tone? I've got the same settings as joe. I just have another amp, so maybe that's the problem.. :-S

  • equalize the amp.. get ur high or treble a lil bit lower and ur mid a litle bit higher and the distortion will not sound so open and u will have a clean, smooth and nice tone

  • Thanks for the advice man! I'll go try it out!

    Cheers!

  • Any time man! cheers to u too and keep on rocking!

  • Thanks a lot man! :-D

    And well...that's what I do...play the guitar extreme(ist) ;-)

  • Heel Nice !, Immens goed nummer, immens goede cover

  • Bedankt! :-)

  • awesome playing and wicked tone.

  • Thanks man!

  • Ibanez JS1200 Joe Satriani Electric Guitar (Candy Apple)

$2,399.99 wow that is an expensive guitar i wish i could afford it.....

  • and that's why you have a JS1200!!! you deserve that guitar man!

    really awesome.

  • Thanks!

  • Thank you sooo much for that. I new what I wanted to do I just didn't know how to get there. Thanks for answering my question. You Rock. :D

  • That's cool, wish some day I could get one . :D If it's not to much trouble, I was wondering how you tell witch note you're supposed to play. Like let's say it says t play a D note and it's in treble clef witch D note am I supposed to play, There a lot of them on the neck. I don't really know the system on how it works. If it's too much trouble, you don't have to answer my question. Thanks a lot.

  • Well I dont know what you mean by treble clef, but I know your problem.

When you know all the notes on the fretboard and all the scales, or practice reading and playing a lot, you'll eventually know which note is in which octave and in what scale it's the best of most easy or whatever to play it all.

So in short: with a lot of practice you will eventually know which notes are in which octave and place on the fretboard.

  • Your welcome. When did you get your guitar? Have worked with musical theory, and I was wondering if you can read notes, cause if you can I really could use some help. I hope I'm not being a bother. Keep up the playing.

  • This guitar is quite new. I got it last year around juli 2008, so pretty new.

And yes I can read notes, but not as fast as I should be. I always memorize the songs I play with help of the official tabs from the artist.

  • I love that guitar! It's really nice looking. Great playing:)

  • Thanks!

  • Nice one! Love this song...you've got the feel of it well :)

  • Thanks man!

  • shit js1200 really looks better in person than in pictures! nice playing out there dude!

  • Thanks man!

And yes it look very good in person then at those pictures. It really is a very beautiful guitar, especially in candy apple red :-)

  • sick tune man this and train of angels!!!

  • Thanks man!

  • where did you get the track

  • This backing track is one I made with guitar pro and another program which makes the instruments sound a little bit more realistic then that crappy GP5 sound ;-)

  • What´s the name of that program?

  • guitarextremist the master!!! =) 5*

  • :-D thanks man!

  • daj začepi, je da lik ne zna svirat i sve je živo isfaliva, al nemoj ga sad tako gadit

  • Hey man just thought id stop in and listen to this again!! love it man!!! and for any one to say a bit sharpe for satriani's sound!! fuck me good luck playing exactly like satriani!! lol good shit man!!!

  • Thanks man! Glad you like it!

  • a bit sharp for satriani tone~~~

but maybe it's becasue of the mic.

    anyway overall really good :D

  • Thanks!

  • Thanks man!

The backing track was just a guitar pro file which I adapt, and then import it as a wave file. And after that I made the wave file sounds more realistic with another program.

  • Awesome ! ;)

  • Thank you!

  • Thanks you!

  • bloody hell...ure awesome man...gr8 guitar n guitar playing.......just awesome...

  • Thanks a lot man!

  • Wow thanks a lot man! Dont forget to subscribe is you like my video's!

    Cheers

  • Hey, but just this, on the minute 3:15, dont play the second guitar, just the solo, that way it will sound better, still, perfect job!

  • Yeah I did that because Joe did it in the live version too. He had that "phace" in his live around '98.

    Anyway, thanks a lot!

  • Dude! Youre AWESOME!!1AWESOME!!! REALLY IT IS ALMOST THE SAME, YOURE AWESOME!

  • Yeah! Thanks again! :-D

  • Dude...YOURE AWESOME!!!!!!!!!

    NICE JOB!

  • Thanks! :-)

  • one of my favorites!!! good job!!! but hey you know any one that wants a js1200 js1000 and a new black dog umm all my pedals and my JSX amp and cab for free?? cause watching this type of playing makes me want to quit!!!!! lol

  • Hahaha thanks a lot man! But hey, if you wanna get rid of your JSX amp... :-D (or trade ;-) )

  • no trades just take it lol

  • man, this definately deserves more than 5 stars. Unbelievable

  • Thanks a lot man! :-D

  • ur awesome dude, rly nice touch, keep it up :)

  • Thanks a lot mate!

  • one word...awesome...very well played 5/5*

    you rock bro ;)

  • Thanks a lot again man!

  • hey dude, how is the neck of this guitar you have there? is very thin? I don't know if you have already played in any RG series, but if you've already, can you tell me the basic difference between the necks of them?

  • Hey, I dont know man. Never played an RG before. But you can compare the neck thickness on ibanez's site.

  • rick i have both this guitars an RG350 and a js1200 ,i can tell u the neck is little thinner and smoother in ur hands than a RG serie.

  • That's great for that kid. I wasn't even playing the guitar at that age. But what's your point?

  • good but your vibrato is tereble

  • Yeah I know, it needs to loosen up a bit. It looks like Im very tense when I vibrato, although Im not. Anyway you need some work on your SWTA video, so we all need something to work on ;-)

    Cheers

  • i dont need any work on SWTA vid cuz it was filmed with my webcam and it was tereble it was 11:30 at night and i was ill so i made alot of mistakes i know but when i get a video camera i promise it will be way better !! but yeh try to loosen up a bit !!

  • That's what I mean. A video is just a record of the moment. We're all playing better when we're home, feeling good, just having fun. Maybe my vibrato is better when the camera is not rolling, or maybe not. Anyway, just have fun in your playing, and enjoy making your own music with your heart and feelings.

Anyway, post some more video's of yourself playing the guitar. Then I will watch them.

    Cheers mate

  • exactly !! and thanks for telling me you will watch my vids

  • Nice work dude. There's a lot going on in that song and you nailed it all.

    Awesome guitar too.

  • Thanks a lot man!

  • best best best

  • Yeah! Thanks man!

  • sounds really great, got a js1000 and jsx not sure if i should get the satchurator though, what do you think?

  • Get it! It's amazing and it only costs €99. (that's about $70) I've never seen a pedal before this amazing!

  • Thanks

  • fette gitaar

  • dank je

  • Yes, definitely! Especially for that money (I bought mine for €99 thats about $70 or 50 pound). Not a bad price I think. If you wanna have satch's tone, or create a really nice tone yourself, this is the pedal!

  • Thank you for uploading a video with the satchurator pedal. Nice show too! I really like the sound you can get from it. Look forward to seeing more vids; if you can do some of SWtA or Summer Song it would be awesome. They're my favourites - they define the satriani sound! :p

  • Thanks, maybe I'll will try them.

    Take care

  • Yes, I got it for some time now, but I didn't had the time to post a new video using it. But here it is! ;-)

  • Nice sound man keep those videos coming

  • Thanks, and I will! Take care mate

  • Nice mate!

Practice, practice, practice ;-)

  • NICE JOB!!, cool sound u got goin there!

  • Thanks! It sounds even better in real-life! Im happy with it ;-)
