  • sell it to me please!

  • nice one!

  • Actually, it had a new top end at the time of the video. I don't know what to tell you - it revved out nice and always ran well so I didn't worry too much. I sold it last year. Will post videos of my other 2 smokes soon.

  • Crazy how people who evidently don't know a thing about 2 strokes always comment like the rod bearings sound bad or the engine smokes too much or needs a rebuild. Your bike sounds great, and I bet it runs like the day it was made. Make sure you hang on tight when you rev it over 3000! The power comes on like a light switch!

  • @cheapeep36 Hate to break it to you man, but that thing rattles like a SOB when it shouldn't. At the very least it needs a top end.

  • @7c3c72602f7054696b

the rattle sound could be the wrist pin bearing. could have lots of life left in the motor. it's just an idea.

to check for wrist pin bearing going out, get on the road and bring it up to rev under load and listen for a buzzing in the motor. also a motor with bad wrist pin bearing wont idle well at low rpm.

  • @cheapeep36

Haha. Right on man! So true.

  • Gonna post my '75 just like it soon. Just got done gapping points and timing it. Running with DGs but I'm getting Spec II's pipes soon.

  • my first bike, thanks for the clip, good memories...

  • Great video!

  • Had one just like it....NICE

  • In '87 I had a 350B orange with twin coils and it rocked.

    Miss it dearly.

  • That engine needs to be redone.

  • it sounds & is beautifull

  • i had a 75 rd350 identical to this one, i loved that bike.. very light and stops on a dime... and powerwheelies between 5 and 8k in first gear with ease

  • I had one it loved to eat spark plugs for the first 500 miles.

  • im thinking about buying one of these, is it hard to fix an electrical problem?

  • any electrical problem could be considered hard to fix.. without a wiring diagram.. but these bikes are very simple.. they fire off the magneto.. much like a dirt bike.. you could take the head lights and battery out if you knew whut you were doing.. and still be able to ride it

  • RD350 needs the battery for the magneto to work unlike other bikes of the time which had magnets for generating electricity, these bikes have electromagnets used for generating electricity and thus need the battery.

  • @contributor34 Can anyone tell me what are the best pipes to get ? DG or spec ll for a 1974 RD350 .Thanks to any one that can help.

  • @paulschnurr ...sorry, i'm not knowledgable in this area. Did you look at the various examples on youtube and spot some bikes with aftermarket expansion chambers and ask. Best of luck, post your results for us to learn as well.

  • @paulschnurr go to one of the HVCcycle videos, and ask them, I think they are most likely the most knowledgable with these two stroke machines.

  • @paulschnurr Higgspeed do amazing soundin pipes for 2 strokes :)

  • nice bike
