  • This was dope, and he definitely freestyled it.

  • great shit, brings me back

  • Classic!

  • This dude has a very unique flow. It's very unorthodox, but not very hard to follow and very metaphorical. I like it. I can't believe this was 16 years ago already. 1995 still seems like it was not that freaking long ago to me. That was the best year for hip-hop. Period.

  • @Braenchild1

This is what i call Talent!!!!

The flow is dope and meaning is priceless

  • Oh shiiii, is it mtv? That tv station that nowdays plays all day "date my mom"? :o

  • Most people don't know Special Ed freestyles most of his tracks in the rcording studio!

  • Special Ed killed it!....Flow is rediculous

  • Its time the truth came out. Please read my second entry first about the Victorio Loubriel, the Co-Director of the Special Ed - Neva go back

  • Most importantly, Victorio pitched the whole video Profile Records for the money. Thanks to Victorio's expertise, they sprung for the cash. At last moment, a second producer was brought in to assist. She had an attitude problem. She got cozy with Omar's woman agent and pushed Victorio out. She really didn't know what she was doing, except to create chaos.

  • Video says Omar Epps is the Director - that's not exactly true. Omar co-directed. The true Director was Victorio Loubriel, the African-American film documentarian and Photo-Essayist. I was there and was associated with New York Film and Animation.. Victorio designed this video, high tech back in the day. He storyboarded its special effects, brought in NYFAC to do and directed Dave Daniels to film.

  • Wayne writes for them...

    Now that explain it!

  • Respond to this video... 7 dislikes.....they needa slap(shoulda took that nap)

  • dude got sea shell in his hair lol

  • @mon41 oh shit he does neva noticed that.

  • this is what ed explained as "phat".. truly, thx for upload! peace

  • @Prophet6000 i agree as well because alot of today's rappers have no real flow or talent.

  • cool video

  • second verse..."i'm pumping like donovan plus i'm a little viscious..." if you from church ave E. flatbush, brooklyn...then u already know!!!!!

  • i miss hip hop...damn

  • Ed's flow is so sick in this song, I had to drink half a bottle of Robotussin when it was over.

  • where can i get this instrumental?

  • First album "Youngest In Charge" - Certified Gold (500,000 copies sold)

Second album "Legal" - Approx. 300,000 copies sold. - Two singles released

Third album "Revelations" - Two singles released.

Special Ed needs to go gold, you can help by purchasing his second album

    "Legal"

  • JP NEEDZ MORE ED ONRY

  • this beat is covered by dust , <3

  • sick tune!!!

  • Do they play this kind of music on Mtv now days? tought it jus was mainstream shit nowdays...

  • @Edgewater2 Mtv doesn't even play music now, it's all reality shows and Bet is garbage too, fell off years ago and they got rid of rapcity the basement.

  • @sammydee21 Aaa, have seen on mtv just by accident, and when u say it i belive u...really wonder to see if i or make a proposal to someone who could start a radio station in Sweden(where im from:P) never heard any station playing old school, think it should be important to bring back and save and honor the history of music, not forget where and maybe how it came.. MOP

    peace

  • @Edgewater2 It's sad bro, hip hop went downhill and this generation is used to garbage music so when they hear old hip hop they don't understand it. It's like being fed mcdonalds your whole life but when somebody gives you a homecooked dish you throw that shit out lol. They do have radio stations that play underground and oldschool hip hop but they are rare. You won't find any good hip hop shows on tv but satellite radio has some good stations.

  • @sammydee21 EXCATLY MOP! hahahaha spot on! WOORD..aaa, must check out some more but hardly belive that they have descent station in Sweden, thnx for the tube =:P And when u try to explain ppl dont feel the message or really how good flow it is, they listen but dont hear it..educated fools :P and like u said, they get feed with garbage so they dont have any to compare too..thanks good for Kool G Rap, L.O.T.U.G, Big. L, Gang Starr, CunningLynguists,Atmosphere ETC ETC. :P list IS so long..B.I.G/Pac

  • @sammydee21 That is so true...that must mean the next generation has no hope for hip hop

  • @JeffDiesel93 pretty much man, then you have the rare breed of kids who know whats up when it comes down to hip hop but they're hard to find. Most of us who listen to this were born in the late 70's and early 80's.

  • @sammydee21 true stuff

  • God, I want to rap to this beat!

  • oh you write for heeeer , oh that explain it LMAO

    his style is sick

  • @FlowingChaddy It was dope!

  • Obligatory 'rap sux nowadays' comment lol lil wayne lol

  • " i eat MCs cause they delicious..... "

  • hot hot shit man i love this flow

  • without the ol school and graffiti...hip hop would be pop.

  • This beat reminds me of a crazy circus. Serious Hip Hop over here.

  • U need a map , u need a rap , u need a slap , u need a nap so take 1 becuz you tired "

    LMAO

  • Special Ed Classic...underrated and under appreciated....

  • This was a great comeback for Ed when it dropped

  • BROOKLYN STYLE !!

  • @tekmatic38 ay im from brooklyn nd i know how to spell nigga and Queensbridge

cant spell ya own hood Damn!

  • @aboyl837

    quiet imbecile

  • This is the ill stuff right here.

  • Youtube is awesome. This song was so good. I agree that rap has fallen off a bit. The last time rap sucked was the 93-95ish years when everybody went hard, from the UMC's to MC Lyte and it got stale. Hopefully todays bling-rap takes a backseat soon. I can only hear about diamond earings for so long before I just go get the instrumental.

  • The real thing is still here. Just spread the word and don't let the rich guy get you down with his hip-hop exploitation game. We're approaching a new era where we're the ones in control, so get ready.

  • this duds rhyme scheme was ill as fuck!

  • classic!!!

  • foking dope..

  • Howie Tee is one of the best producers from the golden-era of rap. As for Special Ed , what can I say but he`s the man. No one had the same cadence and rhyme flow as Ed. A very unique brother indeed.

  • Special Ed is a crazy MC, he's defitnitely overlooked

  • this song prolly was some hard joint back then but i was shocked to see him grown this big since the i got it made video

  • still sound good

  • "Oh!You wright for her;now that explain it!"

Sums up the weak shit all over the radio.

  • his rap technic is crasy on that one! Special Ed used to be one the best back then definitly.

  • special ed lyrically was so ahead of his time this dude was about 5 yrs ahead of his flow.. dont stutter but but but but say it shit is butter classic

  • I was brought up on this type of music. Slide by my page for my contribution to the art. Please rate and comment, so I'll know what people think.. Pz

  • aaaah kumamake.... coming all the way from Tanzania but one thing i can tell you used fo listen this dude back in the 90's this brotha is one of the illest eva....... i attack lyk blood cells fighting off disease emcees...... si kitotoTHANKS A LOT YOUTUBE

  • " i eat MC's cause there delicious"

  • bwoy this track serious for real!

  • Lyrically... this was insane!!...Special Ed...harrrd :))

  • all i know! ...the beat on this, got to me back when i heard...couldnt get over it, or enough of it...:)

  • it sound like he freestyling

  • Special Ed is DOPE!

Personally prefer his later stuff, he should make a comeback, I miss these styles!!!!

  • Woah, this is a flashbck! This song was sick and he hadn't dropped an album ages when this came out. Nice upload *****

  • ;-)

  • directed by Omar Epps.

  • I remember when this song came out, I thought it was dope, but the magazines kinda Sunk Special ed's return. But in hind sight, I think this is the father of eminem's style. This new style Ed was spittin only had a brief moment in the system, and not many cats recognize how special it was. I'm sure Em had his has on this record.

  • i got it sewn like sinatra..

  • Cuz heres ya address

  • best of rap!!!!!!!!!!

  • HOT VIDEO!! SPECIAL ED IS HOT!!

  • On some ol' cypher spittin' sh*t!!! Gotta love it!!!

  • classic

  • Back 2 da Ol' school...

  • My dad used to always have this song on in his crib lol. I was supa yung.

  • 't was so special....come and check my page....

  • you need a nap so take one because you are tired.

  • i think this song samples 'isaac hayes - look of love'. listen close and u can hear it

  • oh ye hes 2 ill wen he rhymes :)

  • Wait?!!!! the Video Director is Omar Epps

from Dr House tv serie hahahah!

  • lololol

  • @Tryste Omar Epps did the Theme for the Wayans Brothers Tv show on WB too!

  • That is a era i wish still existed now

  • Prophet6000 i agree, it was all about skills not money, cars, bling, hidden satanic messages,so sad what hip hop has turned into today.

  • @Prophet6000 do it....and it will exist again.....but only talk everywhere....but no one is doing somethin

  • @Prophet6000 yes! I hope with guru's death producers like Nick Wiz kick it in hard again with this type of beats. I just can't tolerate rap in the 2010

  • @Prophet6000 as long as we fans exist and contribute ourselves to it, it'll never die...

  • @Prophet6000 man, u never lying

  • it do. but the people at the radio stations don't appreciate it

  • Man, I forgot how off-beat, ruff rugged and RAW this song was. "I don't don't turn pale, but Im very ILL. Ed, please come back.

  • Wooaah special ed... haven't heard him in aggesss :O

  • AWESOME! real HH! crooklyn style

  • I LOVE HIS LYRICS N FLOW

  • nice track

  • I LOVE this song! But Honestly.. this album is garbage.. Come on lol.

  • Comment removed

  • it wasnt as classic as youngest in charge or legal but it was still pretty decent as was any album from this era

  • whatever happened to special ed???

  • maaan, i miss dese times..

  • ahahah brownsville brooklyn tilden projects

  • I remember buying this album and being hyped by it because it was on the hills of Crooklyn dodgers but this shit is terrible. The track is cool, but Eds lyrics a horid. He had descent sounding tracks on the whole album and his lyrics sucked the life out of the album....

  • how about "my names Ed not bed, so I'm never to be slept on..."? That's good.

  • Nothing nowadays can even touch this shit! Early to mid 90's hiphop will always be the best era!

  • i agree, only I'd take it back a bit further. From about '86 to '94-'95. Golden Era.

  • '85 to '95 golden era. Dre's 2001 was kinda the last album of the true rap in my opinion. Word of Mouf was a damn good album for being in the new rap era. Ludacris's early stuff was impressive.

  • freestyled the whole album

  • yeap this still sounds good

  • His rhymes sound like a freestyle. Not too great. An insane beat, though.

  • stile,cazzo,stile!

  • Organized rhyme in effect snap that neck!

    eds style is mad nice

  • This was my shit back in the day. Special Ed sporting that curly afro, Carlito stole that shit from him.

  • This shit is Hip-Hop uphoria!!

The style is soo fuckin' sick!!

  • the best underrated rapper of the 90's hands down

  • ..woorrddd,,,,,,oouuhh shit ..the whole album is phuckin dope..whata nice guy 94-95 style ooouuuuuuhhhhhhhhhhhh...i luv u all who like these good nice briliant hip hop songs ..

  • damn i miss this shit, 89-99 hip hop is almost all i listen to,whether this or them grimey undaground joints, shit is timeless, very few new mcs i listen to today. i want my hip hop back.

  • THIS IS HIP-HOP!

  • vieja escuela lo mejor = old school rules

  • biggie stole this flow

  • "Everyday iz a gunshot" was the sickest track on this album.. but no ones uploaded it yet : /

  • this is real hip hop good lyrics originality good format and he got da seashell because dat was the thing back in tho days flow is tight better then some of to days artist rhyming skills this is why hip hop is dead because the young youth dont no real hiphop

  • This is a tune, all you that think otherwise don't know true hiphop when you hear it. This is true 90's hiphop, Ed is definately flowing nicely on this tune. These days the industry is full of dick heads(fiddy, lil wayne and all the other smart mouthed shitters that think their somebody) So if you think this tune is shit i understand, your of the fiddy cent generation.
