Bleach Episode 1 Part 1

The reason why theres alot of fillers at the beginning was because the show was expected to stop airing after the soul society arc but since the show got really popular, they decided to continue showing episodes but they made the arc go by fast so they had to put fillers. Then at one point, the show was extremely close to the manga. It was about 10 chapters behind. Thus, making fillers. I remember when they put 9 chapters of manga in 1 episode -.-

This first episode encompasses everything I used to love about Bleach. Awesome action, amazing music, great comedy, all balanced with an air of mystery, in addition to a basically crazily good concept (I mean, mysterious figures dressed in black, with swords killing monsters? Fucking kickass!) Unfortunately, the amazing concept was just killed due to bad story telling skills, after the whole initial Soul Society arc. A massive, massive shame the story just didn't come together after a while.

the show is good, but 1 thing that made me stop this show several times was the damn fillers. For those who just started this show, fillers are extra episodes which is totally unrelated to the story. this is to buy time for the manga/comic book artist to create more chapters. skip episodes 64 - 91, 168 - 189, 230 - 265, and all the movies because it has nothing to do with it.

1. Watch first everything that's cannon and leave the fillers for later.

2. Read the manga after you're done. Trust me, it'll make things a lot better.

I heavily advise you all to drop this and read the manga instead... you might think it is more boring... but the Anime leaves SOOO much out... it never once talks about Orihime having abusive parents!... If you only read the manga, you will miss the badass moments with the song "number one" and pretty much all fights are cooler in anime than in manga. I would suggest people watching until ichigo gets his bankai and maybe some more in anime and then continue with manga ( after that season there are a lot of fillers)

Manga is for more depth, but this is shonen - many manga artists express how animation is their dream.

Kubo has obtained license for an anime, and why not? It's not the best series but watching the anime of this will give you some nice sequences, music and even good voice acting!

Thanks for posting the subtitled version. Dubbed anime should be banned...the American voice talent just doesn't compare to the original Japanese voice actors in most cases (a notable exception being maybe the American VA for the Metal Gear Solid series).
