  • Does it fly inverted?

  • does anyone know why, when I am doing a pirouett and stop my heli still rotates some times its a half turn and some times its more its like my tail rotor quits for a second or something please help. thanks

  • IT'S THE SR, NOT THE SR120

  • It's a nice heli, but I've decided not to add any DTRM's to my fleet.

  • I know I probably won't get a response, but i'll try anyway. Eflite says that this is a good helicopter for people coming from a coaxial one. I have mastered the Mcx2. Would this be a good training helicopter if I got the training gear to start out? Thanks Dave

  • @27motorider I would say no. The msr would be a better next step and you would get a lot more flying time with fewer repairs.

  • A friend of mine had one of these but scared him so I bought RTF in perfect shape for $90

  • nice

  • Ich hab auch den Blade sr er is nice

  • @Kpilot786457 not necessarily it still has collective its from negative to positive but on this heli it dosn't do much

  • that tail motor has a hard time keeeping up...

  • 1. Its a Blade SR

    2. It's called idle up not throttle hold. Throttle hold puts the engine in idle or turns off the motor and let's the heli auto-rotate down.

  • @TheSPilot it holds the speed of the motor and turns on collective... whaddaya got to say, hyumh?

  • It's a SR not a 120 SR.

  • I've always heard that larger helis are easier to fly. Very true! After dealing with small helis (450 size) my flying buddy tried his (kinda old) Century Hawk 30 nitro. We couldn't believe how much more stable it was. I mean rock steady! No special servos, cheap gyro, whole thing cost less than a mildly tricked out T-Rex 450 (around $250.00 used) and a LOT easier to fly. Wish we had trained with this thing. Don't think we'll be messing with any more little helis.

  • What I meant was when you're ready for a collective pitch heli, why bother with a CP Pro or 450 size. My flying buddy who flys T-rex 450s quite well, was supprised with the increased stability of the larger Century Hawk. For someone who's never flown anything, a coaxial is fine, then the Blade MSR or 120sr. A good simulator is the best learning tool. Even the large helis on simulators are easier than the smaller ones. One thing about the CP Pro, if you can fly it, you fly about anything.

  • Ok everyone calm down, its not a 120 so what...jeez. Nightflyyer posts good vids and he knows his stuff. Its just a typo.

  • That's not a 120 you silly old faggot !

  • So the blade sr is able to fly 3d ?

  • it's a SR not a 120 SR. read the box

  • Cool, finally a video that actually shows the Blade SR actually do more than hovering and moving side to side. Not even any of Horizon videos show the Blade SR doing much other than hovering. Nice loop and roll. Thanks for posting :D.

  • Do you think this is a good helicopter for someone who has no R/C plane or heli experience?

  • @TheDeltaFlight Noooo. You want to start out with something that's a little more self stabilizing. A co-axial heli would be your best bet. (co-axial means 2 sets of blades, but that is not a tandem or chinook.) the mCX2 is a great heli by blade that is very beginner friendly.

  • Thats the blade SR. the 120 SR is fixed pitch

  • @whatsdare yes thats a Blade SR, Dave used a wrong title, he has review on the sr120 somewhere on his channel

  • Nice recovery after the SKEEDER attack Bro.

  • Is this a good beginner heli? I fly 4 ch planes and I am decent at those.

  • @bakonlicious if your a begginer you should look into the Esky Honey Bee V2

  • Your tails hold VERY well!!! Is it the stock-gyro???

  • i am sorry dave ,this is not the blade 120sr ,,this is the blade sr ,,i quess you know that by now ,,nice flying anyway

  • @bassax7045 Yeah I noticed that too. It is the SR and not the SR 120. The Sr 120 is smaller and has a fixed pitch rotor. the SR is larger and has a CP rotor.

Also did you notice that Eric's SR seems to have that carpenter bee buzzing tail rotor wobble that is a known issue for the Blade SR? It seems to be a problem with the way and location that he gyro is mounted in these helis. CrazyHeliDude has a video posted that shows how to fix this problem.

  • @bassax7045 Dave is old and get alzaimer. He mix now everything

  • I'm thinking about getting one of these, but I'm a beginner. I have an MCX and have loged TONS of sim time on Phoenix with the SR. Do you think I can handle it? (on Phoenix I can fly the SR inverted in idle up and cut the grass) =)

  • I'm new to flying and I have a Blade SR. It seems that I spend more time fixing then flying. I fly when I can to practice but can't seem to trim it out well to hover in one place. Can you tell me an easy way to trim or any other tip's. Thank you and great flying. Hope one day I can to the same.

  • Nice flying Dave you should do more heli videos.

    Stephan

  • i got a blade cp and it takes full throttle to get it off the ground....by the time i get it up im to freaked out and i land it.... what do you think it is??

  • @dopeybear420 quit smokin so much dope n u might be able to figure it out jackass

  • Glad to see you finally fly it. Now, if only I could keep mine in the air that long!

  • you should mail it to me for a quick flight :)

  • Looking forward to the annual RC fun fly (when you meet up) all you boys have this summer ;-) thumbs up Dave.

  • that's some nice flying, great video mr. herbert. nice idea you guys have going there.

  • I'd like to fly it. But you're better not to send it to me. I would certainly crash it :-)

  • Nicely done Dave, see you next weekend.

  • nice flying!

  • hey howcome it says posted 8-09-10

  • @jackuserjack I posted it, but kept it private, so Bob and Eric could upload all today.

  • ...

    Great flight Dave.
