Great video! Love the trip across the Astoria Bridge. I live and work here. You captured how layed back it is. The reason I will live here forever! I am the manager of the Ft. Canby Store @ Cape Disappointment State Park and work right by both lighthouses. Come in for a visit the next time.
I used to live there, I miss it alot, I lived there for 11 years. Then my Parents made me move. damn. I remember walking to beards hollow and climbing on the rocks.
I noticed that as well. It's been there for a while so they must either like it or they haven't updated their video page in a while. In either case it feels flattering to know that I found a small way in making my parents known on YouTube.
hi, i'm from los angeles california and it may sound wierd but when i grow up(im currently 19, i'm just waiting to finish my education) i want to spend rest of my life in long beach WA. can you pleae tell me how is it living there? do you get tire of snow? are people friendly to none american person(i'm persian), and other stuff you may want to tell me. i really apreciate it your beautiful video from your beatiful city and would apreciate more if you could answer few of my questions. thank you
To tell you the truth, I don't actually live there. My parents were visiting and invited me to come and spend a weekend with them there. The town does appear to be quite laid back and peaceful although I'm sure it gets pretty busy in the summer. A lot of kite shops and art museums. I don't think there is much of a racist mentality as well. Most people are there to relax, soak in the sun, fly their kites and enjoy a truly beautiful beach that they have to recreate on.
thank you so much.. do you know like the best city of WA that mostly wealty people live in(except olympia and seatle, i'm not in to over pupolated area) because i'm in dentistry school so i would like to know where a people alittle above average live in. thanks allot
Bellevue, Redmond and Issaquah (suburbs east of Seattle) probably hold the majority of the richer class in Washington. Coastal towns, although scenic, are not generally pockets of the upper class. Probably a lot of retirees however.
It doesn't snow in Long Beach, and if it did its a few flakes and it all gets washed away or melted shortly after the afternoons. Long Beach is a great place to visit, but to live there you'd have to love tourism and grummy fishermen. I've lived in Long Beach for most of my life and I wouldn't want to live there again. When I moved away I was happier. There's not a lot of opportunity living there, so if you want a bright future thats good for you I'd live elsewhere or stay in LA.
Thank you for the memories. My family use to vacation at Long Beach every year when I was a child and seeing your parents walking towards the lighthouse made me cry because I remember my parents walking that same trail. I cried thoughout your video but it was a good cry.
It was a Sony MiniDV HDV (I forget the model number) that I had just purchased. After using it for 2 days I took it back and bought the Canon HV20. Same beautiful video quality with a ton of added and better features for virtually the same price.
when you visited long beach i was living there but i left long beach on 25 sep 07 and now im on mexico again =(
