Nickelodeon Studios: The blue men are invading! (reloaded)

While the buildings did sustain damage (as noted in the Wikipedia listing), the reasons I mentioned were the biggies.

While there is no documentation to prove it, I suspect that Nickelodeon had, pretty much, already decided to close the facility by the time the hurricane hit.

Why did they shut down nickelodeon studios? I am not seeing Blue Man Group now. They took over my faveorite studios.

Nickelodeon closed the Studios back in 2005. Some of the reasons include:

1) Lack of visitors to the facility even on the days when the rest of Universal was packed.

2) Much of Nickelodeon's target audience lost interest in the types of shows produced at the Studios.

3) Celebrities refused to move from southern California to Orlando so Nickelodeon could not even try to make new shows there.

Nickelodeon soon found itself with a great facility, but nothing to do inside of it.

i dont know why nick closed it, it was historic and was there founding. its like dismissing our founding fathers like they never strated america. its a shame that nick sucks now...

well, the time capsule moved to the nick hotel. They will open it in 2042, 50 years after burial

I Like how you have been standing up for Nickelodeon. I think what you have been trying to get together is a great thing. Nickelodeon has taken up another studio. In Burbank California and New York City.(chinniepie) - I would also like to thank you(Everclearfan86)for posting this video.

I'm tired of people blaming the Blue Man Group for taking over Nickelodeon Studios. The Blue Man Group are not the only people in the studio now. FSN and Sun Sports Network now host their shows there, and Universal Orlando uses one of the storage areas for parade floats.

The last few years Nickelodeon was there, they barely even used it. And the audience participation was pathetic.

From what I have read, Nikelodeon lost their funding from law suits including an ingrediant in the original slime that caused skin damage. I have also heard of things like pies breaking peoples noses and buckets of slime falling and hurting people.

the time capsule is a stored thing of items from the children like me of the 90's like old nickelodeon tapes, gameboys, the old bumpers/commmercials, and it will be opened in 2042 50 years after its buriel since it was buried in 92. i will be 49 at the time. and the blue man group is this shitty group of blue painted men that just bangs on trash cans and pipes and shit and performs a shitty show and comes rochester all the time. now they had to take over my childhood.

It's not. It opens on June 7, 2007. But there is signs!

It will be. The schedule of construction and everything says that all the external stuff will be finished mid-march. Then it's to the inside for renovation, so they can start getting the technical equipment in and rehearse, etc.
