Your trucks are so much more interesting than ours here in the states. That old Mercedes was a real treat to see and you got great footage of your truck unloading as well!
Squishdoll, you have to take into consideration that FL's a hard life. The life of a frontloader is different from one of a Rear loader. They do ALL the work. 6 years is pretty old for a frontloader. We have an EZ pack thats 11 years old and going on 300k miles- Its decaying, but its still going.
Great video by the way. There was an old Incinerator plant in Miami. I never saw it work, they shut it down before I was born. All that was left was the stack, and a platform/ramp. Its a bus and refuse truck depot now.
Do you know if they turn any of that into electricity? Before I moved from Miami, they were talking about using garbage power plants. Not sure how much it has caught on lately if at all.
Yes they do, if you do a search for "montenay dade" you should find info on it. FL has the highest number of WTE facilityies at 13 i belive. In MA we are second with 7 facilities.
Thanks i enjoyed it seeing all the trucks. They are all very good looking trucks. They burn the trash here in an incenerator...Keep them coming good job.
Funny how they have stop written in english.

Thank you for your comment.
The Mercedes-Benz was built in the year 1959. For me its more intresting to see a U.S. frontloader. Have a nice day.

Well, that 1959 Mercedes just goes to show how well your trucks are built!
We have McNeilus rear-loaders here that have not even been working for 6 years yet and they are falling apart...

There is currently an incinerator in Miami too, run by Veolia it burns 4000 tons a day.

True, but I am not talking FL's, I am comparing our McNeilus Rear-Loaders to those (Norba exc) in the UK...

Sweet! Are any materials recovered, or is it all just burnt?
MitchellM15 3 years ago
In a other part of incinerator be particularly metals and poisons recovered. What we do unload with garbagetruck is burned.

I used to live in Switzerland and over 98% of all waste is recycled
trashmaster3260 3 years ago
