I can see what it was like. In high school, I was obsessed with disney's The Incredibles. It was such an awesome film it would be the topic I would go on about whenever it came to conversations with peers and teachers. Some teachers and peers would be uncomfortable with that subject. I have Asperger's Syndrome; and people with that condition sometimes perseverate on a favorite topic or share knowledge. Now, I'm no longer an Incredibles person. Now, I don't really perseverate much.
Football seems to be a rather acceptable thing to perseverate on. The man talking about about the superbowl seems more NT than AS to me. Couldn't it have been parrots like in the description?
@misspinkpunkykat I think that's supposed to be the point. It's OK for NT people to prattle on about an "accepted" topic, but if it was an AS person on a more obscure topic, people would treat the same behavior very differently.
Wow - that resembled me back in 4th or 5th grade! I was talking about George F. Handel to my uncle and after that phone call my parents gave me a talk on that! Thanks for showing this video!
