@Asilazi I agree, too, but the confusion must have arisen because of Grossman's book Contemporary Ragtime Guitar (Oak Publications 1972) where the tab appears on p. 65 as Hilarity Rag, arr. by Laibman. That's obviously where she got it.
The true test of a guitar player..take the electricity away and see what skills & beauty lurk.
People like Aurora Block, Pete Berryman,Dave Leibman, Stefan Grossman, John James ,Artie Traum etc will run rings around most "macho" electric shredders.
This version is the same one Tim Nicolai did on the Masters of Ragtime Guitar album on the old Kicking Mule label, circa 1974, but it is NOT the James Scott rag. I don't know where or how the confusion arose but Nicolai and Grossman got it wrong, unless there is another Hilarity Rag. Grossman's book, an Oak publication, does not say it is the Scott version, so the name could be right. He cites the original version as being recorded on Black Patty tapes, so you would have to check there.
This is the "Brooklyn Rag"

@rawinsonde1 We have a winner!! I listened to "Brooklyn Rag" and I agree.
However, her album lists it as "Hilarity Rag".

I love Rory Block, and this is a masterpiece! And a not so well known side of her incredible skill (for me). Bravo!
