im sorry to dissappoint you but ganakokila is the name given to lata mangeshkar because of her sweet voice but as she's not very beautiful . . she's called as kokila(supposed to be ugly!) . . that's not with amma . . she was and is the most beautiful woman, according to me . .

annamayya a 15th century poet composed some 32ooo padams [ songs] in telugu. now 12000 padams r available. they were written on copper plates.they r published into 29 volumes by TTD. these songs based on visistadvaitam philosophy and praised lord vishnu. in this song annamayya made achyuta the creater a small kid and sang this lullaby. MS sang annamayya's padams. this is one among them. a very beautiful jola paaTa indeed. u can hear beautiful telugu in his lyrics.

Excellent song by M.S.Subbalakshmi garu.This nice song on Lord srikrishna was written by Sri Tallapaka Annamacharya , a great devotee of Lord Venkateswara(TIRUMALA) ,some 400-500 years ago in TELUGU. In this song , Annamacharya is assuming the role of mother to Lord , and singing a lullaby to make Baby Krishna sleep. JO JO means sleep. Also in the second line it is not raave paramananda, but laali paramananda. Laali is also another word like Jo Jo, a baby word used in telugu lullabies.

The poet assumes himself, transforms himself into YasOda and sing this lullaby to Baalakrishna. He is teasing Baalakrishna as a thief who steals butter from all the houses when he is offered milk in a golden bowl in his own house. The poet sings this romantic lullaby and also refers that beautiful women are looking after the needs of Baalakrishna.
