• @smashbrosdojo3 because it's built into the OS asshat, and you'd know that if you know squat about the PSP. Been that way for... (wait for it)... YEARS.

  • k you're a fucking idiot why would you post a ps1 emulator video WITHOUT the download link i mean its just so fucking stupid for all those people who do that >:(

  • @smashbrosdojo3 thats because it isnt an emulator, it is an official ps1 game that you can download from the PSN store.

  • Does It works on OFW or only on CFW?

  • @36256564874847848487 it isnt an emulator, it is an official ps1 game game that he bought on the PSN store.

  • if you download it on psp can you download it again but in ps3 free?

or you must buy it again?

  • @elgamer95 you can download it a certain amount of times before you pay for it again, so basically, yes you can download it again for free.

  • do you have the link ?

  • @shocko009 its not an emulator.

  • do you have the link?

  • would I be able to download this game directly to my psp from the playstation network on my psp? or do I need a ps3 in order to get psone games on my psp? thanks.

  • which memory stick are you using and isn't that alot of memory

  • Comment removed

  • You can download it from pc to psp using the PLASTATION DOWNLOADER you can get it at the playstation store web site

  • I really love the fact Sony decided to port this exactly as it was on the original even with the original PSone starting logo thing. Its a classic game and Ive got so many memories of playing that when i was about 5 or 6...good times

  • Either way... it uses a virtual PSOne memory card

  • Does it Play on PS3 as well?

  • Can u put it on a PSP 3.11? if not im shashing ma PSP :P

  • You jackass that's not a emulator its just a game that you put on your psp LMFAO!!!

  • It is still using an emulator to play the game though, even if it was downloded legally through the PS3 on PSN

  • iv got this emulater but my contact 4 the games deided to stop sellin them how to u get them???

  • if you have a ps3 you can sign up for playstation network and go to the store and go to classics or ps1 classics and buy crash bandicoot!

  • I don't think we can buy PlayStation Cards YET but they might come out soon. Well, hopefully.

  • the good old day aye i gona buy that game gd times gd times

  • guys go playstationstore(dot)com, the game are only 4-11 dollars

  • What size is your Memory Stick?

  • do you have to have a PS3 to get them?

  • can you send me this game via MSN ICQ

  • can you like some how put the coverted file on your computer and send it to me ?

  • You can't transfer the file since its copyright protected.

  • Sorry guys, but Rothbart here is a legal person:P

  • whats the firmware

  • This was taken with the first _official_ Sony firmware available. It's been updated many times since then. I don't remember what version it was, but it's 3.xx

  • hello can u tell me how to put the game on a psp

    thanks

  • yes, read three comments down. Sorry. If you're looking for "unofficial" ways, I can't help you.

  • is this game a full version where you can play till the end?

  • Yeah, it's the real deal.

  • how do you transfer the rom to the psp?

  • I guess there are enough pages of comments that I can't blame you for not reading them to get your answer, but I _bought_ the game from the Playstation Store (only available via the PS3 at the moment), then it has you connect your PSP via USB to the PS3 and transfers the game over for you. This is no hack and I didn't start from an original PS1 CD, I bought it from Sony in this form... playable on PS3 and PSP.

  • in europe u can download crash bandicoot 2 but in america u can download crash bandicoot 1 for ps3.

  • how did u get this to run so fast??ive seen lots of ps1 emulators and they run at shit speeds!!

  • This is the "official" Sony PSOne emulator... it just works that way. There's nothing _I_ did to get it to run this way, you just upgrade your firmware, download a PSOne game via PSN on a PS3 and it works like this... there is no way (currently) to do this without a PS3 though... legally at least. I have no idea what the hackers have managed lately.

  • ok, ignore my last comment, lol, after posting I read through! (slaps head)

  • soz my lil bro came on here

  • my one is faster than yours and of ps store in the uk

  • I don't even understand what you're saying... what's "faster"? And more importantly, why does it matter?

  • Want to know where to download all the latest PSP Games,

but for free? Well I just found an awesome site that has

every single PSP game you can imagine for free, and they

add new ones daily! Of course they also have full movies,

anime, and TV shows like Harry Potter for download as well.

Register at the PSPCrazy forums over at pspcrazy(dot)com

to join in the free downloading madness!

  • thanx!

  • are you and advertizer? or is this a legit thing?

  • What I don't get is why does it take any time to load? It already has all the files right there, it doesn't need to read them off a disk or anything!!!

  • It's emulating PSOne hardware... some stuff wouldn't necessarily work if disk access was sped up. A later firmware included an option for enhanced disk speed emulation.

  • my one is realy fast can some one help.

  • i got the uk one of psn all legal.

  • I bought this from the PS store yesterday and have been playing it on my ps3. Class game, one of the first I ever played.

  • Hiya, I get to that intro screen where it says "Enter the vivid world of Crash Bandicoot, a marsupial on a mission!" on my PSP, however a message then comes up saying how I need to enable Flash player. Once I get wireless I'll get Flash player, but since I get the title screen up does this mean that any DRM issues have been bypassed in your opinion? Any comment would be appreciated :)

  • I've got no idea what you're referring to... you need a PS3 to get this game working and it's done through the PlayStation Store (on the PS3) and then transferred to the PSP via USB.

  • I have a PS3, and getting PSP. Who thinks Crash Bandicoot should go PS exclusive again and be made by Sucker Punch (Crash and Sly?)

  • it'd be good, but don't think it'll happen with the rights now owned by Universal/Sierra.

  • meh...I got it for free..this n loads of other ps1 games.Hehe...70 minutes...ps3...pfft screw the official way. O and dude let the kid type however he feels like typing...wat do u care =p

  • Yay! Pirates for illiteracy! If someone wants to take the time to talk to me, they can put a little more effort into using the English language. Otherwise they just come off as lazy and unintelligent. But if that's ACCURATE, then by all means, leet-speak away!

  • I only have one question , How big is the crash bandicoot file because i have psp version 3.50

with a 1GB memory stick with only 430mb left

so before I go and buy this PS3 I want to know

how big is "1" ps1 file, please reply and thank you

  • They vary based on the game. You can pick up 4GB cards now quite frequently for under $50 (without rebate, just on sale). I don't have my PSP with so I can't tell you the EXACT size but I just did a quick search and found sizes for OTHER games that varied from 157MB to 535MB. I recommend spending the $40-$50 for a 4GB card, these games look nice on the PSP screen.

  • have you tried psx ripped games do they work?

  • No, ripped games do NOT work with this method. When the very first PSOne games game out on the PSP, people figured out a way to do it, but Sony has since redone their DRM and (to my knowledge) there isn't a way around it yet. I'm staying "official" with my stuff so it doesn't concern me other than they don't seem to be concerned to release any new games in the US. Japan has MANY times the games we do here.

  • u dnt need 1 of these custom firmwares tht r made 2 play ps1 games from the ps3 do u, can u have an offcial firmware from a UMD or their website nd still download and play ps1 games

  • r u 2 lay-z 2 USE ENGLISH?!?! My PSP is official "from Sony" firmware... the PS1 game is an official "from Sony" purchased PS1 game. I'm honestly amazed at the number of people that STILL don't realize how this works... it's covered on just about every gaming site out there. If you have a PS3 and a PSP you can buy and play PS1 games to play (now) on your PS3 _or_ your PSP. No custom firmwares or hacking needed/allowed.

  • woooo, sorry, im new 2 this there aint no need 2 get annoyed, i just saw u sed u had offcial psp ps1 game so i asked

  • I was annoyed because you didn't read the earlier comments (your question has been asked & answered multiple times) and you're "2 lay-z" to use actual English words...

  • u read the bloody thing didnt u so stop complaining, anyway how does my english make u mad, i dnt get mad at the way ppl talk nd i just wanted to make sure bout the psp thing like many ppl do, u should b gratful u hav a bloody ps3

  • Ha ha ha... you're not USING English. You're using lazy shorthand that automatically cuts your "Internet IQ" by half. It's almost like you're too busy to worry about case sensitivity, punctuation, or spelling tough words like "you", "be" and "have". What exactly, in your own words, is the benefit of abbreviating "be" as "b", "said" as "sed", or "to" as "2"? Are you typing your messages on a cell phone or does your ISP charge by the character?

  • i talk like tht to save time like on msn and wat not i can talk properly, r u telling me tht u seriously never talk like tht

  • Seriously. I _never_ talk like that. I makes people seem less intelligent and/or lazy. Learn to TYPE and you can speak _normal_ English and spell correctly. Being too lazy to type (on a computer) says something about a person. Using a crappy cell phone interface to type is about the only excuse I can think of that's valid.

  • I can type, are you not listening, it aint work so, why would i bother typing properly - like this - it aint because i'm lazy it's because i like to relax at home, and also you know that loads of people talk like this

  • Even your attempt to use proper English had capitalization problems and the word "ain't" which isn't even spelled properly. Ha ha. I tell you what, you go away thinking I've got a stick up my butt or something and I'll not reply to you thinking you're a lazy idiot and we'll both happily go our separate ways. You've not adding anything useful to the subject of playing PSOne games on the PSP. How's that?

  • And yes I realize I misspelled "you're" as "you've"...

  • do u have to have a ps3 for this and if so how much do the games cost through playstation 3?

  • As of right now (5/5/07), yes, you need a PS3 and the games are playable both on the PSP and the PS3 for the price of $5.99 per game. In the US there are about a dozen games released.... Japan has many, many more and I expect a deluge to the US soon. As a comparison, a week or two ago, Japan got like 24 games released at once.

They've recently updated the PSP and PS3 so that saved games can be shared between the two machines.

  • do u know if they will ever be able to be purchased without a ps3?

  • According to Sony, eventually... nobody knows when that will be though.

  • do your psp needs to be activated or something to play this?

  • I'm not sure if "activated" is the right word, but yeah, it did.

  • upload the real psx emulator files

  • Dude, don't be a frickin' idiot. If you can't read the comments of this post to see that this is the "real deal" and not the hacked stuff, yet you STILL ask for files... files DRM'd for me, then I don't know what to say. Go bug someone else... like the previous people before you that asked, I'm going to say "No!".

  • Check the post date, the custom firmware you're talking about didn't even exist then... nice try. I bought it and I _do_ own a PS3.

  • sweet ill be able to play re3 on my psp XD

  • Awesome! A manual too.

  • cool

  • why must it take so F'ing long to release the PS3 in Europe?

  • is this really the "OFFICIAL" sony ps1 game? from the playstation network? same stuff as custom firmware eh?

  • This was purchased from the Playstation Store on a legit Sony-released firmware. With the newer hacked firmwares you can "roll your own" PSOne games, but that's not what this is. From what I've read you can even still buy PSOne games from the store. As far as I know, the "roll your own" PSOne games don't allow for insertion of the game's instructions, but that's not really a big deal I'm guessing... I never read manuals anyway.

  • is their fianl fantasy?

  • No. As far as "official" PSOne games there is: Crash Bandicoot, Jumping Flash, Wipeout, Rally Cross, MediEvil, Tekken 2, Syphon Filter, and probably one or two titles I'm forgetting.

  • ok... i hope ff titles are gonna be thier!! the sooner the better! hehe

  • Impressive!

But, this means that I can't use my computer to set the PSOne emulator and put it into my PSP, right?

  • Correct, as of right now, you can't use a PC for the "legit" PSOne emulation. There are hacks if you have a firmware 1.50 unit to get around this, and Sony's said in the past the eventually you won't need a PS3 for this, but as it stands today, you're left needing a PS3, or pirating the PSOne games via a 1.50 PSP. Sony needs to speed up their PC support if they want people to pay for these things...

  • I will like to know if you can give me a copy of this emulator.I have not a PS3 but I want it on my PSP

  • No, if you want to pirate these things, track 'em down on your own, I'm not spreading my legit copy. Sorry.

  • Thaks man anyway and piracy is not my thing..I buy all my games and all my PSP® things are legal.® I just wanted to ask you if there is other method to install

official Sony psone emulator because I have not a PS3 that's why if you send me a link or somethig I will apreciate it....I look all over play station web site and can not find a clu of this amazing emulator.

    happy new year thanks.

  • Currently you're _required_ to have a PS3 to do this the legit way. If you have a 1.50 PSP you can track the stuff down via other means, even PSOne games not officially released yet. Sorry, I assumed you were yet another person specifically asking for my downloaded files -- I've had several).

  • Yeah...

...and what sucks more, is that I don't have PSP...yet...neither PS3...

  • get dark alex's custom firmware 3.03 oe-c or 3.10 oe-a'. you can play psx games that u torrent without drm. there's also a program called popstation where you can create roms out of ur disks. if u use popstation, then there's nothing illegal about it.

  • I can play this on PS3!

  • thak you

  • ok thx..

  • yo dude firmware 3.03 just arrived and i downloaded it an hour after it was released lol and i was just wondering if you can check out the new games that are added in the ps3 store!!thx peace...

  • Updates of PSP or PS3 firmware don't directly correspond to updates in the Playstation Store. Newer games can require newer firmware, but as of now I've updated both my PSP and PS3 to the latest firmwares (3.03 and 1.32 respectively) but the Playstation Store content hasn't been updated yet and the only new PSOne games announced are for Japan only at this time.

  • THAT BRINGS BACK SO MANY GOOD MEMORIES!!! man, that almost makes me sad remembering when i was like 7 or so and my dad got me a PS1, this was always my fav game, along with all the other Crash games *sniff*sniff*

  • oh YES me too

    lol

im glade they made it for DA psp

I WILL DOWNLOAD IT AS SOON AS I KNOW HOW

  • i dont know if it will work but could u try to send me the files for this game

  • I guess I need to publicly comment on this. Please people, stop asking for me to send you my downloaded Crash Bandicoot files. I'm not going to! No offense, but buy the game yourself (even if you're just wanting to hack away at trying to crack their protection).

  • Rothbart,

What games do you have downloaded so far from the PS Store?

  • man can't wait till they release ffIX and chrono cross.. ill scream my ass off!

  • It was funny when all the 13 boxes landed on Crash's head and all he did was look around with a face that said "What the hell?"

    Haha!

  • You missed 13 boxes, ON THE FIRST LEVEL. I laughed myself to death.

  • Thanks for the Video. Good Quality! I wish i could buy Crash for my PSP without a PS3

  • how do you pay for it in your ps3? do you have to fill information and use your credit card or debit card to purchase it?

  • Yes, via the PS3's Playstation Store interface, you have a "wallet". You buy this just like anything else in the store and it downloads to your PS3 (eventually also PC) and then installs from the PS3 to your PSP.

  • you missed a few boxes

  • lol

  • Nice! Thanks for the vid!

  • thx!

  • Plz download them all and put some footage on youtube :P

    We want more !

  • Cool Boarders, Crash Bandicoot, Hot Shots Golf, Tekken 2, and Syphon Filter are currently released in the US. The Japanese have a completely different set of games released though...

  • thx! may I ask their 5 titles?

  • There are currently 5 US games downloadable as of today, 12/7/06.

  • I have another question how many games are downloadable as of this second? can you give me some examples?thx.

  • hey nice video man. I have a question.. I only have a 512mb memory and I wanna ask if I can get a game less than 500mb and transport it to my computer so I can purchase another one? Will I be able to play the initial downloaded game again? just wanted to make sure...

  • With a 512MB card, you'll have to use Crash's password feature to save your game as there won't be enough room to save your game on the memory stick. I only have one game so I haven't tested swapping the game on/off the PSP yet.

  • The downloadable Crash Bandicoot is 466MB if that's what you're asking.

  • how big is the file?

  • That's very nice. Thx for putting this up.

Too bad I live in Europe, I'll have to w8 till March.

  • Currently all the PSOne games are $5.99 which I think is a fair price when you consider games such as Columns on the Wii's Virtual Console sells for $8.00 and there have been some games such as Pac-Man, Frogger, and Dig-Dug on Xbox Live Arcade that've sold for similar amounts. Sony has stated the price range for PSOne games is $5.99 to $10.99 though, so I expect to see some titles move to the higher price point eventually, but everything so far has been $5.99

  • nice !

how much does it cost for one game ?
