Before the 1974 Turkish Airlines accident in Ermenonville-Paris, MD Douglas knew about the fault in their planes' cargo doors. Right after an earlier incident in the USA with no lost of lives which took place 2 years before concerning the same problem, NTSB officers had warned the company. But the company did not solve the problem. They killed 346 people in the 5th worst aircraft accident ever.

R.I.P to all innocent people wich had to leave their lives in due to technikal and pilot failure. One instrument was indicating wrong data and pilots did NOT react !!!

It's not BOEING, it's the pilot's ERROR wich cost live. And the pilot's can only be as good or bad as the airline allows them.

Why did those in the cockpit die.i thought the plane came down tail first, and why were the 4 boeing staff also affected, i heard two didnt survive and two were hurt, did something happen to the cockpit? and were they all in there during the landing? or is this coincidence. either way with the heathrow 777 the huddson river flight then the buffalo crash and the

spanair crash all in the same year, the year we have a credit crunch and we all cut costs, should i be worried.

The tail came first but the plane was in full throttle to save the situation and started to climb again, then hit the ground for the second time on its nose, smashing pilots in the cockpit.

pretty weird , a pilot crashes a plane and hes a hero , everyone asumes the crash was caused by engine faillure , here in Holland we have more scenarios in mind. if 1 engine fails a plane is capable to land. to control tower had a conversation with the pilot this was his second approach to the Polderbaan. why didn't he land in his 1st attempt. to runway was clear. nice hero , making mistakes is human but this kind of mistakes doesn't make you a hero

no engine failure.. as turkish survivors told the plane suddenly went in a turbulance and fatally lost altitude just a like a stall which strongly shows that it is a vortex since a 777 or 757 landed on same runway 2 mins before the Turkish Airlines. And one of the survivors said that when i was losing altitude rapidly the pilots gave full throttle but 3 secs after full throttle plane crashed. If it is Vortex, Schipol tower did a big mistake.

FYI: The crash in France in 1974 was not the mistake of the airline. It was the design mistake of DC-10 planes at the cargo door.

In that event that door was opened because of too much air pressure when the plane was climbing,which caused the plane crash. After this accident all the DC-10 cargo door designs in the world is changed.

Therefore I would recommend to think in multiple ways when we criticize an airline,such as amount of flights done in a year, plane companies etc.

The past 50 years 13 other airplanes from Turkish Airlines crashed comparing this one to others they were really lucky

turkish airlines is one of biggest airlines with hundreds of plane and they r star airlines member i really don t think turkish airlines has a mistake on crash witnesses say there was an engine problem the plane was quite new and had a big maintenance less than 2 months ago its boeings falt maybe? latest accident was 6 years ago and it was rj100's mistake

I admit that there were some error's regarding boeing such as the cargo door wich was not properly designed wich caused the plane to crash in France but that wasn't my point my point was that from the 13 airplane crashes they had probably the most lucky place to land the fields were plowed so it absorbed a decent amount of energie altough the plane broke in 3 places and 9 people lost their lives. Imagen if the plane hit the trees or landed on the highway where alot of cars were in traffic.
