The USAAF bombed Hitler's Reich by day and the RAF bombed by night. The USAAF and RAF did more than any other Western Allied services to actually beat Hitler - and they paid a terrible price in lives lost. The USAAF and RAF bomber men - the often forgotten allied heroes of World War 2.

The "experiments" of Harris to bomb a nation into submission failed. His generation were well pissed off with the blast bomb and fire bomb damage the German Luftwaffe had wrought against Britain's largely undefended cities during the Blitzkrieg offensive 1941/42. The heroes of RAF Bomber Command made sure the Germans got a taste of their own medicine just a few years later. They were all well motivated and well led by Sir Arthur 'Bomber' Harris.
