i was having burned mac os x installer on a dvd-r and its didn't work well but when burn it on a dvd+rw it did install

Try another version. On dad's laptop kalyway does that while iPC does not.

sucks, I don't have a Timemachine backup so it's useless to me. I'm not home so I can't install Leopard until 15th december. Then I'll be pissing off trying to find drivers :D

lol, I had same problem with kalyway. Something about waiting for root etc. But it can be bios settings. Sometimes if you have sata HD's but IDE DVD, it can cause the loader to be confused. It tries to keep loading, but loses track of the drives somehow. Changing to all sata can fix that. But with iatkos v7, no more problem with drive. But problem in bios on asus. So I had to change sata to AHCI, turn off floppy, maxcpuid off, vanderpool off, speed step off, power to S3 etc.

in other words, I kept my ide drive since it worked fine in iatkos

awesome adventure dude. I've tried all of them and none worked. I bought a new DVD-RW because the old one started to stop working and not read/write all DVD's. I didn't have any intention of buying a new DVD-RW just because an OS wasn't working..

Mine has resolved after buying a new DVD-RW drive. The old pioneer one was shitty. Now I have a LG one. I don't know if this is your problem. Try using another ISO, if u use iatoksy or something like that then use kalyway, and vice versa.

Try using another leopard, like kalyway.. If that doesn't work I don't really know what to say. I don't think my solution works for u. I am saying now that if u buy another dvd-rw and it doesn't work I take NO responsability so don't come and reply "fuck u it didn't work" or something like that..

I bought it from Romania so if your in the us it's cheaper. For me it was about 130RON, that's 43$. I know that all things are cheaper in the us but it may not be like that.. Anyway hope u resolve ur problem.

i think i have the same problem it dose not get any futher than the apple logo and spinning icon my dvd drive is playing up on xp not reading discs properly could this be the problem PLEASE ANY LET ME KNOW HOW TO FIX THIS PROBLEM THANKYOU

Hey, i installed mac os x , and it worked grait, until i rebooted my pc i got the message "Reboot and Select proper Boot device

or Insert Boot Media in selected Boot device and press a key" now i can't get in to mac nor xp ...:(

ok people there is some boot loader patch that make combination ADA and SATA ... but it's only work with kalyway 10.5.2 and leo4allv3finall .... I have to find it and I will post it here, very soon.

You have to press F8 when you start the loader. Then you got to type the following commands. ( -v -x -y cpus=1 ) And make sure you set your BIOS for SATA as IDE not AUTO or Enhanced.

yeah,it was from my DVD-RW I bought a new one and now it's working. But now I can't install on my 80gb WDC IDE hdd. It only discovers my 200gb Maxtor SATA hdd.

actually yeah i fixed it, the problem was that there were no built in drivers for my sata on my computer, so all i did was hook up a ide hard drive and a ide dvd reader and kablam im installing osx like a maniac
