hearing this music reminds me of all the black and white pictures and images i saw taken by spaniards and americans during their colonization of my country. strong and intelligent generations gone, good people gone, spanish language gone, dignity and genuine self-respect gone. all that remain in my country now are the weaknesses we inherited from our colonizers: religion and politics. haaay...thank goodness i found consolation and sanity in loving life itself!
