When you said that if you get hit, you would die a slow and painful death, I was worried that it was an enchanted bow. I got hit once, didn't hurt all that bad really. Adept diff. and 250 max health.

How to get this bow the easy way there is a well behind him use shout he falls and then get the stuff in the room behind the well jump down grap the bow youll find another skeleton but he has a sword not a bow and does insant hit kill to any level 5 and under 3 hit 10 and under at the max and all above well you have A EBONY BOW WITH 15 ARROWS when i did this i left the man and ran but SHOT HIM TO GET AN EPIC SWORD

1) FUS DO RAH on him on the ledge, where the hole is

2) Go down the hole and find a ledge at the end of the room, JUMP ON IT

3) he will be confused so you rape him with your arrows

Use marked for death shout to completly burn his armor rating and pound his face in with molag bals mace that drains stamina and health he cant hit fast, block and youll probably kill in like 5 hits lol marked for death shout is very helpful for tough bosses :)

i took down a death lord in like the first college of winterhold mission at saarthal. he was pretty tough but didn't have the ebony bow. i just used unrelenting force and pounded him with my strongest weapon then recharged my stamina and did it again.

Can you increase the amount of damage your bow does? Because from what I see they only seem to be able to increase if your using something like sword or a mace

@KenAndEthan yes,you can you can make it do more damage by going to a grindstone and the weapon needs to be in your inventory..(duh) and the higher your smithing level the better you can increase damage at like 80-990 smith u can make it legendary and have it have like 120dmg PLUS ARROWS (arrows CANT be upgraded) (i think)

Those are not the real stats. Your stats are diferent depending on your archery level. go to skyrim wiki for base stats. Good vid, though. Ive been using Firinel's end, the enchanted elven bow the Dark brother hood gives you on the wedding assasination. Its on a balcony to the left, facing the blue palace.

Easier Way---- Unrelenting Force to knock him down, deathlord ditches the bow for his axe...Use DUAL SWORDS (Spartacus Status)....Power moves with the swords and reload stamina when necessary, I took almost no damage and he went down pretty quick.....SPARTACUS!!!!!

Just get ur conjuration to lvl 50 which only takes like 15 minutes and use the bound bow spell. It good and unlimited arrows

u rly dnt need archery. (well if ur using heavy armor u dnt need it) just did this and once you get up close and personal with him you should do fine. unrelenting force would help or call of valor and u would be done (assuming u finished the quest)

I'm lvl 81 in archery and if I smith a dwarven bow it does like around 30-40 damage without upgrades lol. You should level up archery before you get this.

thx dude! went in as lvl 7 stealth/archer on master setting, and exited as lvl 11, almost 2 hours and 150 arrows later, lol. boss took 45 mins. ran past 2nd deathlord in bottom of pit tho. tired and out of arrows. but got my OP ebony bow!! time to pwn!

if you have the "sanguine rose" staff you can keep summoning daedra to keep the overload busy, or summon any other creature that would be powerful enough to keep him busy for 4 or 5 arrow shots...and always use unrelenting force to knock him over for a few precise shots. worked for me. thanx for the vid Thaevin

Anyone considering doing this and fighting draguar, bring a silver sword or 2 to dual wield. Also if you are an archer bring silver arrows. Anything silver does nearly twice its normal damage to any undead.

P.S: Jump down the hole and go thru the door, when you go thru sometimes there is ANOTHER daugr deathlord on the other side of the door to skyrim. He ususally goes back inside of the door and waits on the stairs to disarm you. Theres another good bow on him!

BTW you can run up on him with a sword and he will pull out an ancient nord war axe, anybody can 1v1 him in melee, i used my archer pure with a steel greatsword of embers and killed him to get the bow when i was level 8!

Actually, it wasn't too hard to kill him...dunno whether that worked out 'cause I am a Khajit and already pretty sneaky but I just stood in a dark edge and shot him which made him run around like crazy searching for me but he never came closer than two or three meters, staring in my direction but not seeing me...this did even work out with every stronger enemy i ever encountered, even when my sneak skill wasn't that high...

I just kept up close with a Dwarven Sword of Fire and made him use his axe. When he got out his bow, I ran in circles around him muttering "Oh, crap! Oh, crap! Don't hit me!" After a few hits, he was dead. :D

another way is to sneek and shoot him while hidden which does twice the damage so you save arrows, then as soon as he detects you run into the other room and hide until you're hidden again, then repeat this over and over

Why dont just do the Thief Guild quest... at the end you get Ebony bow with magic effect, and some extra Nightingale Armor/ sword. and you get new ability.

P.S. you also get Skeleton Key which is OP for pick locking.

There is also a draugr deathlord with ebony bow in Saarthal. Although that dungeon may require a quest.

Just letting people know that if you kill him and then loot him you can go through the dooryway behind the draugr and there wille be a chest, in that chest there is 300 gold and an enchanted ebony bow.

@abarreloflols got it, too. but the Nightingale Bow just does 45 with enchanted effects. U can disenchant it and enchant the Ebony Bow with them, which has 51? damage.
