I experienced Alzheimer's as a child in the company of my great grandmother, who was one of the great influences in my life. I watched my grandfather slip away in my college years. My father had a slow progression of 15 years which ended in 2005. It is for this reason that I have spent much of my adult life recording the collective memories of my family into written and photographic archives against a day when I myself won't be able to remember.
