MLB offical website put the note and the video last week when Pap got his 30th save of the season; Papelbon is the first pitcher in MLB history to score 30 or more saves in his first 5 complete seasons in MLB. Rivera, as you correctly pointed, served as a starter and as a set up in his first years with the Yankees, and he became the closer and started scoring 30+ saves per season some years after that.
