  • Absolutely the best of the best. Todays music has some very large shoes to fill!!

  • ain't bein filled..

  • @notdiane that will never happen. No-one will ever come close. Not EN Vogue, not Destiny's child. No-one.

Those shoes will never be filled. :)

  • Yes they knew. But the Funk Brothers did not get any credit or any reconition for any of the Motown hits until many years after. By then most of them sadly passed away. You should watch a film/documentary about these GREAT and TALENTED MUSICANS called Standing in the Shadow of Motown. This DVD came out 4 years ago.

  • i wonder if these guys knew that they were playing a major hit when they were in the studio recording the music? It's awesome to hear the music only.

  • I don't think they did. They were that humble.

  • Certain songs you record are quite catchy, so I'm sure some of the musicians in 1964 thought this would be a hit.

  • My baby loves this song.

  • You mean, 'baby' baby? Because it really DOES sound like 'baby music' and something that would delight an infant! (smile) It just has 'that'! You know? ;-P
