This is the SEGA Mega-CD version as the tittle say, not the SEGA CD. The japanese version have bad musics, the Sonic Boom is a way better soundtrack, than the original one! :D

@Endymionsan smoking crack, jap/eu had the funky music. US sounds rushed sonic boom is nice but the stage music is dodgy. but xbla you can choose so its all good.

I agree. The animation fitted the Japanese/European version better. I think the only BGM I liked in the US version is Tidal Tempest. The others, meh, not so much. Well, I kinda like the "goal" fanfare too...

I dont like this sountrak that much. Iprefer the german version (european). Also the great Bonus Levels have better and smoother graphic on mega cd than on my gems collection on ps2. The new sonic 3D are not so good like this version. Sonic CD was my x-mas gift some x-mas :-). I was very happy about it and had a lot of fun.

Yeah, this is the American soundtrack. Europe and japan had a different OST to this. This soundtrack is on all versions of Sonic Gems Collection.

Ah, sorry, half-asleep. It's because it's the PC version of Sonic CD on it. I found it strange that Sega did that. Apparently, there's a way to hear the Japanese soundtrack on the US version.

Something to do with changing the language of the console (PS2). Dunno about the GC version. I had bought it once and sold it when I found out the Japanese music wasn't on there. :(

I actually prefer the Japanese soundtrack to the game, especially the water level =)
