Just change your CC number regularly. CC number no good, anymore. You do this buy calling your CC company and tell them you "lost" your card. They'll give you a new number and card, right away. CC companies don't want you to know about this, because it will make a lot of clerical work for them.

I never let anyone touch my card..ever. When I go to a gas station or store, I tell them that I, and only I swipe my own card. works like a charm. On one occasion, a supsicious gas attendant told me if I don't give him my card for him to swipe, he was going to call the police. Go ahead, I told him. He gave up after he noticed that I was not going to give in. went behind the glass and swiped my own card. This way also no spreading of germs either Most major stores now in Canada you swipe anyways
