Thanks so much, this was great! You are the only person who has a clip of The Way It Is that is actually the radio version or album version and not someone doing a cover.... lol! I was trying to find it for someone and everything on here is a freaking COVER.
Its so funny i just stumbled on this and was watching it and then you started talking and i was like "that voice sounds familiar, that sound like the sample video guys voice and sure enough I look at the top right of the screen and there's your name Funktuall ive seen all your sample vids, your the man!!!
don henley had a couple songs that i remember and you got both of them lol, that new girl now sleeve from suite is pretty cool and gotta love billy idols songs brings back a lot of memories
Don't know how or why I was reading the liner notes to a human league record, but I remember reading that "no sequencers were used in the recording of this album". Something to that effect anyway. Always thought that was interesting seeing how they were such a synth heavy band...
lil wayne had a song that sampled the first HEART tune the "you forgot about love" or theres something youforgot or something they used the synth intro part
Don Henley, as a solo act he might have just ended up as a footnote if it wasn't for the unmitigated "rock hate" he got from 80s punk and metal acts. he was nearly the "Herb" of the Rock Bands.
Yes, the Housemartin's song is the cover version, but I don't mind, since it's acappella and therefore almost a new interpretation of the original song. I think there's good and bad cover versions, and this one is one of the better ones to me.

Woah woah woah....
Is the lead singer of the Housemartins the same guy from The Beautiful South?
That's a pretty distinct voice.

Everytime I hear "The Boys of Summer," I think about how underrated it is. I love that break in the middle.

Pretend? Bruce Hornsby is playing piano on the End of Innocence.
That and Boys of Summer are probably my two strongest 80's memories, when I hear them they take me back to when I was kid.

Good Lookin' out Funk, Corey Hart is VERY 80s (pull up your socks, you're the boy in the box?) So 80s it gags people with spoons.

I really think "Dancing with Myself" could have easily been half as long. It kinda drags.
