Great voice, however, why so many singers nowadays are not able or don't want to sing real legato phrases anymore?!?

watch out for the second, slower adante part, starting at 2:03:

"Nel-la-Ha-Ha bio-Hon-da, egli a l'usa-HA-nza

nel-la-HA-HA bia-HAn-ca, la-a-a-a (right legato line!!) dolcezza.... "

It's going on with those intrusive 'H's the whole rest of the aria instead of being a smooth vocal line.

Definitely I'm no expert in singing, however, i just want to raise the question, why singing legato is so untended nowadays...
