  • That was what I remembered about that show.

  • Proof that one needed be filthy, ugly, or evil to be entertaining. So, listen up Hollywood, you can't get rid of this, it's evidence of a crime, your boring tripe forced upon the world.

  • Bob Hite (Sr.) , CBS radio and television announcer & anchor from 1944-1979, does the "In-Color" presentation at the opening of this piece.

  • I believe there was originally a live announcer at :23- "From Television City in Hollywood- it's 'THE CAROL BURNETT SHOW'!!...brought to you by--".

  • It's a good thing she wasn't on NBC!

  • (C)arol (B)urnett (S)how

    Clever...

CBS should've stuck with that serif font.

  • oh, my, god, I miss the original show with the variety acts and everything, she was my favorite star on T.V. back then

  • sure how they used CBS. Columbia Broadcasting system and The Carol Burnett Show

  • cbs= Carol Burnet Show= ORIGINAL

  • I never saw this as I may had been way too young at the time? Born in 1963 as I think color came out in the mid 1960's.

  • One of the most clever openings I've ever seen.

  • Impressive Opening!! The following opening presentation for "The Carol Burnett Show" on CBS Television came from the 1967-1968 Season. A Solid 6!! Do not get rid of the clip!!

  • @Green18600 - The opening was also used in the 1968-69 season.

  • Thank You!! I was unaware of the opening being used for "The Carol Burnett Show" from the 1968-1969 Television Season ... until today. Thank You!! I thought Carol Burnett had tons of laughter on her show. Take Care!!
