guitar hero rocks....simply put.....harmonix left one of the most powerful music games ever made.....there quite dumb...it was genius for neversoft to buy it too...if u ask me rock band and guitar hero should join each other and make one ultimate game
i think the rock band chart is looking to add variety more than rhythm... which makes it easier... but, really? we all know difficulty matters but quality is important too!
I think rectangular notes were a good idea. It's easier to see where its supposed to be strummed... And after getting used to them the circle notes just don't feel right to me anymore.
I prefer the circle notes because they're easier to see, easier to follow. The colored bars look... maybe my eyes need to adjust but I have a hard time following their paths as they hit that strum line. They seem to blend together.
After telling that it wouldn't be difficult to say I'd easily fail Rock Band charts.
I don't play to win, I play for fun; however failing a song isn't the most enjoyable experience.
if you could combine the drums and guitar instruments of world tour, and the note charts bass pedal and track list of rock band 2, it'd be the perfect game.
@PedrosProductions they just tried to top the rb guitar with the solo note buttons but the way gh did is was stupid because they usually come in randomly at least rock band lets you know when you can use them and when your goin into a solo

Why is Guitar Hero always the tougher game? While only able to beat Hard in Guitar Hero 3, I started playing Rock Band 1 & 2 on Expert in didn't fail once until Green Grass & Train Kept a Rolling from the 1st game & Dream Theatre & Chop Suey from the 2nd game. Are they adding additional notes in GH? Or are they hearing the songs differently in their heads? Maybe Rock Band just has more Star Power paths? I can't imagine what the Drums are gonna be like. But i will be buying it in 2 weeks!

Thanks, but i don't play a real guitar so i wouldn't notice where a chord is used for a single note in the master recording. There's something about GH3's (& now GHWT) note path that i love to play more than Rock Band's. I know it's weird since they're the same game almost, but I never got bored playing through GH's campaign. It could be the arcade feel to it's single player, while RB is a straight party game. idk. btw, GHWT does let you collect star power while active.
Yeah, I realized the star power change yesterday. I'm glad they added that, tho I still feel as if the star power phrases on a few songs are perhaps a bit too long and challenging for an average-level player.

Sure having star power being collected while its deployed is easier, but I like the feeling of it in rockband, especially the effects on guitar.
