the way i see it...Ranka's singing style is more clean and clear, making her songs sound sweet. Sheryl's style, on the otherhand, is more vibrato, riffing and stylization, making her songs sound more mature and "sexy"

I'm sorry, I'm not a huge fan sheryl or ranka, but I never think it weird. Beats me :p THIS VERSION IS BEAUTIFUL. IMHO Sheryl (May/'n) sung it very well. Too much breath?? Well, it is. BUT The emotion is perfect, so sad and touching. The strains of her voice is also very beautiful. If you dislike the tempo, maybe because too slow or something like that, The reason is this is Sheryl's emotion because her suffering after all.

Its really not about who sings it better! Just like Aimo OC there can be different emotions for this song. This version makes me cry every time I here it. It just shows you how many people really cared about the characters of the Anime and the emotions they go through, especially Sheryl. Sounds like May'n (Sheryl) is suffering =( This is also a capella, so it sounds less interesting for that reason IMO. I actually like it for some reason. Megumi's (Ranka) version is so pretty in contrast.
This perfectly illustrates why I don't like Sheryl's voice. : / Can't just sing. Has to draw it out and dramatize it and add all this flourish and flare that is entirely unnecessary and brings away from the song.
in my opinion Sheryl has a too powerfull voice for a soothing song like aimo. Ranka's voice fits perfectly because her voice is softer and cuter. this version is okay but i do prefer Ranka's version.

I'm sorry, I'm not a huge fan sheryl or ranka, but I never think it weird. Beats me :p THIS VERSION IS BEAUTIFUL. IMHO Sheryl (May/'n) sung it very well. Too much breath?? Well, it is. BUT The emotion is perfect, so sad and touching. The strains of her voice is also very beautiful. If you dislike the tempo, maybe because too slow or something like that, The reason is this is Sheryl's emotion because her suffering after all.

Its really not about who sings it better! Just like Aimo OC there can be different emotions for this song. This version makes me cry every time I here it. It just shows you how many people really cared about the characters of the Anime and the emotions they go through, especially Sheryl. I love Ranka and Sheryl voice, they both make this Anime Dynamic and great to listen to.

Alright, so far I learned today, that Alto and Sherly had sex in episode 22. That Ranka is overly jealous. Sheryl is a strong headed woman, not to mention she's 17. she sings it much too slow if you hear it in in like 2x times faster it's very nice but so its crap her voice is fantastic but the song is very awful in this speed

I love Sheryl's voice but I just think this song is more suited for Ranka's voice. I love Sheryl though! ^_^ Northern Cross is the best!
