hey dude thanks i've gotten better been playing since december thanks for the post of these excersices hope we cross path in this land of music were in the future
hey ! these are good exercises...I have posted some bass lesson using chromatic and then scale patterns to cover fretboard ...( 120 beats is a good goal to reach using 16th notes of course ! )...cheers.
just wanted to let you know that you might want to arch your fist finger. because when you flatten your finger it will bend the string detuning the note. but still awsome work
This is great for dexterity. I would like to add as a further challenge - try pulling off during the reverses and hammering on during the rolls towards your index.
Just a hint: try to place fingers before playing notes: i try to explain... when you have to pass from the 3° to the 2nd string, you have to put your finger on every fret you're going to push. That would help not for these great exercises, but when you'll become faster and faster and when you'll use the speed with fantasy and imagination.:)Hope people will begin with this, there are many people out there thinkin' beeing a master only playing this or that song!
that's the purpose of exercises... mistakes are going to happen.... I appreciate the fact that he's even showing inexperienced bass players, even seasoned players rudiments and chops to better our playing. It's amazing how cats that probably never gigged a day in their life have the nerve to critique someone... Here's a tip, let's see you send a video thru and do every exercise on her flawless and on pace... t
hey rcatposion its exercise put your playing skills up there and lets see how good u are probally not as good as the knightmayorz take a look at the rest of his clips HATER!
Aren't we watching him work on his technique? I mean, are you joking with that comment? Even if he did sound noisy and sloppy (which you do not knightmayorz) your comment Erlend would be silly, considering the fact that what you are saying is a redundancy.

Much respect for you showing your dedication to the bass-ics! These exercises are "chops" builders. Good looking out.

You need to work on your technique. This just sounds noisy and sloppy.
