@benhaldane1 If I remember what I had read correctly, generally, the songs on a given album have a common running thread and he makes perhaps just a few minor changes on one song and more drastic changes on another. But each song is unique even thought it may sound like another. He does this intentionally. I'm not sure what his reasons are but I don't really need to know, because like you said, it is all beautiful music. The guy you replied to, is that one ass every bunch seems to have.
One thing does kind of irritate me here. It's not only primates and other "smart" animals who solve problems in this way. Everyone here has to have heard at least one true story about a dog saving a persons life. How to they figure out how to save the person? People drowning or getting stuck in fires, gas leaks and getting trapped in snow, peoples' pets figure out how to save their lives with NO prior experience, whatsoever. Explain that.
@RowanSclee I think it is an emotional bond coming from an electro chemical response and I reject the assertion that human emotions are in anyway more powerful than those shown to exist in the animal community. Our understanding of our emotions and our ability to explain them through the use of language are far superior but it is arrogant to think that we as humans have some special, deeper emotional response than animals. Emotional response has nothing to do with intellectual capacity.
@RowanSclee I would love to hear you definition of abstract thought. So how does your experience theory account for chimps arriving at solutions spontaneously to previously unseen problems? They just happened to hit upon the solution first time in a trial and error fluke? Or they thought about the problem, abstracted a solution and then went about it? Animals are more than capable of abstract thought, if you'd studied biology you wouldve come across problem solving studies in dolphins, elephants, chimps and other primates that conclusively prove that these animals are capable of the abstract thought necessary to solve simple problems.

Every time I listen to contemporary music, I just feel damn bad for a lot of film composers. Many of them have amazing skills to compose song like these and even better. But in the end their music have gone unheard. So far only a few ones can make it to the popular level.
For Ludovico Einaudi part, I don't really understand why he can't get good position in film music career. His music fits perfectly in many of the film he had scored but still get little support.
My piano teacher said Einaudi`s music is like wallpaper, the same all around. I just replied "I didnt realise wallpaper could be so interesting and beautiful".
@RachaelRedLips Same situation with me, me and my ex-girlfriend (Both 16) found this artist and loved all of his music. She fell asleep in my arms to this music...and everytime I hear his music I cry, but I can't stop listening to it because its all I have left of her in a weird sense.

Every time I listen to contemporary music, I just feel damn bad for a lot of film composers. Many of them have amazing skills to compose song like these and even better. But in the end their music have gone unheard. So far only a few ones can make it to the popular level.
For Ludovico Einaudi part, I don't really understand why he can't get good position in film music career. His music fits perfectly in many of the film he had scored but still get little support.

My piano teacher said Einaudi`s music is like wallpaper, the same all around. I just replied "I didnt realise wallpaper could be so interesting and beautiful".

i listened to this album none stop when i fell in love for the first time, when i was 15.
I can't listen to this song without all remembering the love i had for him and how beautiful and pure first love is.
All i have left is memories, but when i want to think of that special time in my life, i listen to this album. and i cry, and i smile :)
his music is outstandingly beautiful and really awakens the soul. its like he takes all human emotion and translates it into music. x

@RachaelRedLips Same situation with me, me and my ex-girlfriend (Both 16) found this artist and loved all of his music. She fell asleep in my arms to this music...and everytime I hear his music I cry, but I can't stop listening to it because its all I have left of her in a weird sense.

Wow..This song is so captivatingly beautiful. Its weird when i listen to his music and close my eyes i see whats going on in the music in my head like its a movie. I love tech n9ne, John Mayor, and Death Cab but whats amazing about this kind of music is that you can feel it
