When they started, the band was cool. Heavy, fast, aggressive, and angry. But they lightened up their sound over time which lost some fans. But what REALLY pissed people off are the fans. "MAGGOTS4LIFE" ... some secret club made by 12 year olds behind computer keyboards. The fans became so annoying and unreasonable, it was impossible to listen to the band. Seeing as they were heavier genres of metal, Slipknot was dismissed as sellouts. THE END

And who is this 'they' you refer to? Be specific. Because many, many producers do in fact make their own beats and samples.
