  • I hate cats

  • @tinkerball971 same !

  • i have a westie named harley and 3 cats. westies get along pretty well with cats actually. My oldest cat is really sweet to Harley and lets him play with him. My girl cat princess thinks shes to good to associate with a dog and the youngest one who is pretty chubby hates harley and wont let him closer than 3 feet:P

  • Hey I hope you dont mind me asking

but how did you introduce your westie and cats

    we have 3 cats aswell

and want to get a westie, but we are concerned it might attack the cats or see them as prey

so did you have that concern

    and if you did

how did you deal with it?

  • my westie never really attacked my cats, he just wanted to play with them. Westies have a more playful nature than an aggresive one. In fact, it was my cats that would attack him at first. They never hurt harley but they would always hiss and swipe at him. If you chose a sweet natured, playful dog like we did you probably wont have any problem at all. Hope I was helpful!

  • Funny !

  • We have had our cat for 3 months and now we have just got a 3 month year old westie pup.

The cat and dog seem to sniff each other and go away alot but there is also alot of chasing and the cat hissing and then trying to take the dog out.

Any ideas on what we could do guys.

  • I would never let a cat do that to my westie, he's too precious to me, a cat can scratch a dogs eyes to bits with their razor claws!

  • We came across this video when trying to decide on whether to get a cat to join us and our westie Jacob...this video made the decision easy!

    Thanks for sharing.

  • it jest like my westie and cat their the exact same color as yurs the dogs name is rylee and the cats name is rapsody
