  • For all of you wondering, here are the songs in order:

    1. Chopin Winter Wind Etude Op. 25 no. 11

    2. Starts as first movement of Rachmaninoff's Second Piano Concerto, then he switches it into finale of Rachmaninoff's Third Piano Concerto, it actually blends together very well :)

    3. (With the kid) A tiny bit of Mozart's Turkish March

  • I love the way he sits on the piano like he's going to do somethin very funny but then he starts playing and everyone get serious.

  • Again. For Lang Lang to use music as his forum to insight some political agenda is unacceptable - let alone express that by reciting another composers written works. If this man wishes to use such method - insure that he uses his own composition. Let's truly see how that method will stand. It's like having Andrew Lloyd Weber use Disney compositions to claim injustice against the 1 percent.

  • 2:20 woman trying to get upskirt shot.

  • Ah, one of my favorites... Chopin's famous duet for piano and camera shutter!

  • @jdebruynviolin Wow that comment actually made me laugh :D

  • The only thing I like about Lang Lang is that he´s a really human person, he wants to do things that ´´normal´´ persons would also do. Many pianist think the world of themselves, and feel to good to do something like ´´normal people´´. At least, not where everyone can see it.

  • ...THIS is how LL should perform, on the street like this, for this kind of an audience, BUT NOT in any concert hall, right?...

  • @fredericfranc no, he sould perform as he does... your criteria to hate on him?

  • @alejandrothefader ...no hating, only judging...we are out brothers' keepers, so we are all, including myself, our brothers' judges, no way of escaping that, even if we wanted to...

  • @fredericfranc well then, i respect your opinion, but you can't judge without the necessary knowledge and an open mind...

  • @alejandrothefader ...because I make a living teaching music I do have the necessary knowledge and an open mind...

  • @fredericfranc ok, you did sound like one of the lang lang haters tho

  • @alejandrothefader ...well, the way Lang Lang moves his face at a typical concert turns me into a Lang Lang hater too, probably, sorry about that...

  • @fredericfranc I agree. The greatest pianist of all times- Vladamir Horowitz. Arthur Rubenstein. Just play the freaking piano- this isn't a piano/sign language recital.

  • Why were so many photographs being taken?

  • Chopin Etude, Rach's 2nd, what's the last piece he plays?

  • @JakeMDavey

    Rach 3, second movement.

  • you think you know music and then you hear something as beautiful and emotive as a piece by Chopin - when it's played right in front of your eyes, yeah you just stare and keep quiet - what else can you do?

  • The kids don't look bored, I think they are more in awe because they have probably never seen anyone play piano like that. This what makes Lang Lang amazing, not the fact that he has such a God given talent, but that he has no problem doing this. He inspires many to start, pursue, and continue the art of music.

  • @auntiepicklebottom if it motivates children to play, then paint it! why does classical music need to be stuffy? i would paint mine pink and yellow if it got more people playing! I wear pink docs when I teach and kids love em! its about brightening up the world!

  • it's like the guy shredding Van Halen in a guitar shop

  • I was expecting an actual impromptu... God forbid you ask a concert pianist to improvise

  • This isn't an impromptu. This is his repertoire after like playing... all his life?

  • Why does that guy have to leave on the piano like a tool... respect the pianist and allow him a little space to breath and play so everyone else can enjoy too..,

  • THAT PIANO SURE MAKES STEINWAY LOOK GOOD.

  • why miss out the beginning of winter wind

  • They look kinda bored, they should appreciate the time they have with this great piano player.

  • BEAUTIFUL COLORS OF PIANO

  • this is just so good without making grimace. Much more enjoyable.

  • great work! I love the last thing he played. Anybody knows what is it?

  • @MrMcDonnel you mean rachmaninof piano concerto 3 finale?

  • I wish I was there!!!

  • Thanks

    =)

  • so Lang Lang only makes faces in a serious concert?

  • @teccomin yes i noticed that! it seems he has his serious face on but knows the audience love him for his faces so it is part of his gimmick, never mind i suppose we all have to make a living

  • What's the piece he plays at the beginning of this video?

  • @72Elco Winterwind; It's a Chopin etude (25/11)

  • @victorgor111 Thank you very much highly appreciated:)

  • What Rachmaninoff piece does he play at the end of this. Would love to learn how to play it.

  • @DiCpiano It's from the 1st movement of the 2nd piano concerto by rachmaninoff.

  • Bet those kids weren't expecting that!

  • 0:24..... oops....

  • @1Thompsonmusic nice try faggot, try again

  • this isnt how you play the a minor etude, and anyone can move their fingers fast, if you understand music you would know this

  • @superman1113215 It's a technical study, not an emotional masterpiece.

  • @xxR4CH3Lxxp i mean its not a czerny etude after all its written by chopin, and chopin's etudes are not to be played like traditional etudes you know what i mean? even though they're called studies they are emotional pieces and a true pianist would bring out its musicality rather than technical difficulty, like i said anyone can move their fingers fast, its just a matter of knowing the notes. thats just my opinion iight

  • @superman1113215 True, but still, look at the situation he's in. A piano in what looks to be a car park surrounded by a few kids. He's just messing around. That said, who's to say he's not playing with emotion? I know that when I play I don't roll my eyes and sway in my seat, but that doesn't mean I don't play with emotion.

  • Awesome video! Lang Lang; coolest celeb on earth. ;)

  • Stop showing off and at least for a professional pianist, hit the right note first!

  • Want the piano! Please stop me before I get some pots of paint from B@Q and ruin the polish on my own!

  • Hasta Lang Lang la pela

  • The seconde song is a little part of the concerto 3 of rachmaninoff .. And it's sure. ;)

  • @gregorybarabas Nope. It's theme two from the first movement of the Rach2 Concerto. Not the third.

  • theres always a dumb person who has to dislike

  • @Amarelaoo1

and there always has to be a dumb person complaining about it

  • the way he plays rach3 2nd movement is so beautiful, i can almost hear the orchestra playing along.

  • wow ! amazing that you can find out the wrong note

  • 0:24 lol

  • anyone knows the 1st piece??

  • @lollimusicyang Chopin's Etude Winter Wind Op.25 No.11

  • @Classicfan94 THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

  • @lollimusicyang lol np ^^

  • nice guy, big heart. those kids will never forget that day

  • the good side of lang lang! great to see him playing for the kids! he truly inspires!

  • winter wind is not that hard just need to be self discipline.

  • this is chopin's winter wind, isn't?

i tried to learn that piece, but yeah...

its kinda difficult or sth like that...

    maybe insane...

    or almost impossible....

so bravo, he can play it very well,

  • what a star

  • The audience might be in for a bit of a surprise next time he is scheduled to play Rachmaninoff's 3rd!

  • Es un estudio ,no un impromptu!!!!

  • @yuyoyuya1 It's the performance that is "impromptu" (not planned), not the piece ;)

  • Brave!!Awesome pianist!

  • That's how piano should be played!

  • Love the spontaneity ~ Bravo !!!!

  • i enjoy listening to lang lang..thank you man...you play beautifully..!

  • Wow! Great seeing our kids with Lang Lang. Thanks so much!

  • Amazing...
